I cannot recommend that you apply this cycle with a planned re-take in August (or September!).
Take all the time you need to get a score consistent with success. Multiple weak scores are far more damaging than a single one. AMCAS recommends that we average scores, so it it even more important that you do well on the re-take. The median MCAT for NJ schools are 508, 513 and 514.

I don’t know about the new ones, but you have a 498 and it’s very unbalanced. I don’t think you have a very good chance.

DO, you're good to go now. MD, take another gap year. At an absolute minimum, for MD, you'd want a 505+. You'd be competitive with a 510+. Many schools average MCAT takes. That's not to say that a 520+ won't give you a small but significant chance at top 20s.
