Quality over speed. As long as you still complete relatively early in the cycle, it is worth the time to make your essays as good as humanly possible.

Hi, I'm super backed up on secondaries and at this rate am looking at some being turned in over a month after receipt 😕 Granted, I received mine pretty early so they would still be in by late August. I thought I'd prioritize the schools that are "truly rolling" and leave the reach/Ivy schools for last since they don't seem to care that much. But do you think it will look really bad to these schools? Should I make myself submit them in under a month even if they won't be as good?

They're not like jealous prom dates standing around with a stopwatch waiting to see who sends in thier proposal the fastest.

The wise LizzyM, who is at a T-Stratospheric school, suggests that early Oct will still be fine.
