I have a really high GPA(3.95) and a great application to match. I ran into some complications (personal stuff) and my studying timeline got messed up.

I was planning to take the DAT Aug 7. I've already gone through a bit of studying material but have a lot more to cover.

I'm just curious if you guys think 25 days or so of heavy studying is enough time studying to get a 19? I know everybody is different, but what do you think?

I was planning on using TopScore to gauge if I was ready or not...but I want to go ahead and register and I am curious whether I should register for the 7th or throw it back a ways.

Thanks

Buy topscore take the first practice test. If you do well, take it from there.

Of course it is! Like you said it is different from person to person, but with a high GPA chances are you already have a decent background. 25 days is PLENTY of time to get a 19...assuming your not starting from scratch.

I'm already 11 days deep into may allotted 28 days and I need at least a 20+ lol

Definitely. As long as your fairly familiar with the concepts(which Im sure you are since you have taken pre-dent classes) then 25 days is plenty! You could achieve 21+ with that time. Good luck on your studying.

Thanks guys, I was just scared by my first dives into destroyer, especially since I have a remarkably weak bio background.

But I'm glad to hear that destroyer is really hard in comparison.

Question for you guys: Since my bio background is so weak, I decided to buy qvault bio, along with cliffs AP, and destroyer....Would you guys recommend buying qvault chem stuff too?

Given that you only have a short period of time, I would say your time is best spent doing destroyer chem problems as opposed to qvaults. Unless you don't have access to any full length practice tests. Then it might not be a bad investment.

Qvault bio is really good. After taking a couple bio tests you should get a really good idea where your weak points are by looking at your stats for each test. Then go to cliffs and read up on your weak points. This will really help your bio scores or at least it has for me so far.

Destroyer bio is good if you have a little bit of background already, so I would save that after a week or so of studying qvault +cliffs.

Best of luck!

What do you think about maybe Chads quizzes? Should I focus on more of Chads quizzes than Destroyer if my test is Aug 11?

That depends where you are in your studying, but if your DAT is scheduled for Aug 11th you could easily do both. Chad's o-chem/g-chem quizzes are great.

Definitely possible! I did mines in 5 weeks. On top of that, I was shadowing a dentist full time for the first two and a half weeks. You've got high gpa, which indicates that you should have strong sci background so it is definitely possible for you. Thing is, you just got to hit at it like 8+ hours a day, but that's the whole point of doing it in a month.... To cram
