that "error" might just be from not logging out from the applyyourself server when you switch between the site's different secondaries. make sure you hit logout each time.

have you guys recieved secondary emails from the medical schools? I haven't recieved anything yet and my application has been in since the first day
 
we haven't received invites to fill these out..but the schools have a link on their websites and most schools allow you to start filling out supps. as soon as you have an AAMC #.. soooooooo...get a-filling!!! Hope all is well with apps...let's keep this thread going folks...

Does anyone know who or where to go to get your SAT scores?
 
I couldnt remember all of my sections of the ACT...so I just guessed, the average was right though. I took the SAT in middle school and I didnt report that score!
 
Just mention..I don't need an official score report..I have an idea of what it might be but I just wanted to see if there is a place i could just have someone tell me what it is.
 
is it ok to type secondary responses in word for the secondaries that are available in word..ie creighton

about typping in word..i think it should be okay..i typed all my responses in word so i could monitor the character count..just don't use accents b/c they might mess up during a transmission.. hope all is well with 2ndaries..keep in touch.. keep posting on this thread so we can make sure it stays on the first page...

The impression I get from Tulane is the first people to apply with the average numbers will get it. I think this may be a trick to get that 500 deposit on your spot...then 5 months later you have to eat it.
 
sorry if this has been covered ad nauseum, but...

do you get an email from each school instructing you to complete a secondary application, or have some of you kind of taken the "pre-emptive strike" approach and started on your own?

i guess i just don't know how this sh.t works yet 😳
 
I went out on my own...but I did email some of the schools to make sure it was all good. They seem to appreciate the early start...this only works at school that use the secondary to screen
 
Ok, so just to clarify: Are there schools that won't send us any notification at all about the secondaries? If so, are we just expected to find the website and fill out the secondary application on our own?
 
Yes there are.

Also, some other schools like Loyola, won't tell you if you didn't make the first cut...so you could go on thinking for a long time it is one of those schools that wants you to do it on your own. I think the best idea is to research every single one of your schools :idea:
 
umm..yeah.. I am still working on my essays. The one about the satisfactions associated with being a physician is crazy...it's a whole essay in itself at 2484 characters.. is AMCAS starting to transmit this week?

That's strange. I applied to both Cornell and A.E. and had my app verified on Jun 9th and havent recieved the email.

They haven't sent all the emails yet. Since these schools do not screen, you can go ahead and get started if you feel like it.

I applied to Cornell, but not AE...i just went ahead and filled it out and submitted it anyway...who knows how many apps/emails they have to round up in order to send us the email..i'd just go ahead and do it..

I applied to LSU-NO and have yet to receive a secondary...don't worry, it will come. :luck:

Geez, you have been busy!

I have submitted to Cornell and Yale. I have AECOM ready, and Columbia is ready except the dastardly "satisfaction" essay, which I hope to tackle tonight. That will be 4/12 for me--woo hoo! I also have almost assembled all of my reference letters, which will go out by the end of next week. 😀

i need to catch up with you speed freaks this weekend. my goal is to definitely finish yale and jhu, and then hack away at columbia

Yeah, I have been filling it out too - you just need your AMCAS id and need to make a new profile or whatever when you login for the first time. Hope that's the right thing to be doing.... 🙄

I tried again, and now I can fiill out the secondary. But should I? Anybody here completed the secondary w/out getting an invitation, esp. at Rush?
