I got the invite, although I cant figure out how to access it.

called just to make sure. they said they were sending the invites out while the earthquake happened so it affected their system. according to the woman I spoke with, it is NOT a mistake if you received the secondary but just that you won't be able to access it for a few days.

if you got one, you're good! just give it a couple days. (I hope this lady was right!)

on the top left it says "applicant status". that should take you to the status page.

well...i'm not exactly sure how important it is. as long as you can get it done in the next couple weeks (3 weeks maybe), you should be fine.

If you're asking "Can I write about working in a soup kitchen for the prompt that asks for a volunteer activity?" then the answer is yes.

Clubs, etc, imo. i.e. competing in sports, photography, frequent traveling, etc. I guess you could include a volunteer activity for that since it is non-academic. I'm not putting down a volunteer activity since they ask that later. It would seem redundant.

I'm debating over that one as well since the last time I got a formal award (other than something for my job, which is non-healthcare related), was in high school. I mean formal award as in recognition for something other than GPA.

I'd guess that they're not going to throw your app in the trash just because you didn't answer all of them, but consider this: all else being equal, whose app do you think they're going to favor, the person who has significant activities for each question, or the person who left half of them blank?

I think this means anything outside of taking classes and doing research? (Research is considered an academic activity, isn't it?)

I think it's probably safe to talk about anything you want here. You could talk about one volunteer activity here if you have a second one to talk about in the actual "volunteer" question.

I am having issues with this one as well.

I am not sure if they are looking for a particular instance (ex- going to New Orleans to help relief efforts), or an on-going activity (ex- actively involved in church).

So my most important honor is recieving research fellowships two years in a row, but my most important scholarly project is my research! Can I talk about the actual award for the honor question but the details of my research for the project question? Or is it jsut all too redundant?

Also, since the non-academic activity question says "in my life" can I write about something that I did a long time ago? Or should it be recent? For example, I did a lot of acting when I was younger and it really affected my life (thats why i moved to California and on and on and on) but I haven't done it for a long time. ANy thoughts?
