So I called Wayne to ask if they request background checks on people on the waitlist...and she said they're not participating in the CBC!!! even though they're on the list, it was never finalized.

Considering that there are 3 of us here who have gotten the e-mail, that seems like a bit too much of a coincidence. I think maybe she was mistaken..???

Well... considering I have only interviewed at one other school and they don't make their first round of decisions until December... I wonder what other school could have possibly "conditionally accepted me" or whatnot. 😕

That's the only other school on the list I have interviewed at. I'm wondering if it could have been them....but yeah....that would be a bit ridiculous

No, it was CCLCM. Did you give them your AMCAS ID or anything when you called? If you just asked them a generic question it could've been a canned response. They probably already have had many people call earlier this morning about the same thing. And plus, we'll find out later today for sure. lol

I didn't give her my ID. a canned response and an outright lie are two different things though😛 Sounds like she lied. I guess she wanted it to be a surprise this afternoon!! haha.

It says you'll only have to do it once so if you've already done it you wouldn't get another request. I wouldn't say it's a good or bad thing just that you don't get a hint like we did. You will find out in 1 hour and 48 minutes anyway!!😛

Guys relax. I'm pretty sure all of you here are hardcore enough to get accepted by Wayne State 😀. Remember during the interview, when your interviewer explaine that they interview about 1000 people from 4500, then accept 500 people just to ultimately matric 290? Yeah. Don't worry guys, Wayne State will pull through. The likelihood of actually going there is a different story; their tuition is monstrous! GAH!

I think the CBC is related to Wayne State. I doubt my other interview is even remotely close towards giving me a decision.

My interview (and according to the interview page, pretty much everyone else's interview) was very casual and laidback. I think this is one of those where if you show who you are and just be yourself, you'll be fine. They really seem like they just want to make sure you're normal and capable - they don't throw anything crazy at you. But, make sure you know "why Wayne." GL 🙂

The answer to Why Wayne is the intense Clinical Experience. Accepted as well but the tuition is insane for us Canadians - a nation of students who don't know the true meaning of student loans.
