Ok, I was going to wait until next week to post this, but I figure this is a great time, since we are all in hell and counting down these last 16 days till Dec 1st.

I was reading old posts from the 2007 TMDSAS thread on SDN and read that on the day they mail acceptance letters your file changes on TMDSAS. It appears that once you are accepted they update your file on TMDSAS that day to reflect a change in your status. So if you look on your Applicant Profile on the top it will say "Last Master Update"... the rumor is that the date will change and show 11/30/07 as the last time the file was updated if you are accepted to a school.

Just one more thing to think about... Anyone else not sleeping well these days?

Ahh!! What would this world be like without the rumor mills? Maybe this is just a case of sleep deprivation.
 
The last master update for me last year was in october and I had an acceptance letter on 12/1, and a girl I know had a last master of 11/30 and did not get in. So, there is NO truth in that rumor.
Sorry.
 
I think the waiting drives you crazy. I don't think I'll be in the first round and I only have one school that I've interviewed. Although I really like the school ,the odds make me very nervous.:scared:
 
Received an interview email from Houston finally yesterday for Jan 7th! I had my interview with San Antonio this past monday and havent heard anything from Baylor. Just wanted to give a heads up to those who havent heard from Houston to keep hope alive. Looks like I wont be in the first round for Houston but better late than never.
 
I had a question for ya'll. I have lower DAT scores than the average for this years class but I still received an interviewed at Baylor. I was wondering if I have a decent shot of getting an acceptance if my interview went well. I felt it really well and was hoping that it would make up for my lower scores. I figured I have a chance if they even offered to interview me. Just wondering if anyone had any input. Thanks. Good luck...5 more days..(as if you didn't know).

do you mind sharing your dat scores? I know baylor loves to see students with upper level bio classes....do you have lots of these? hang in there....i'm hoping to get into baylor as well but with so many ppl applying.....i'm a little nervous....

My oGPA=3.5, sGPA=3.37, AA=17 and PAT=19. I do have a lot of higher bio's (comparative physio, neurophys, anatomy and immunology). I also have a lot of research...

With ~7-800 (in state) applicants, Baylor has not been known to be hurting for qualified applicants. The bio courses are probably the reason for the interview and could also be your saving grace.

I called Baylor and spoke with them about this exact same question, because I interviewed at San Antonio in August and had not heard from Baylor and was confused why. I was told they don't look at the AA as much at Baylor. They look at what advance science classes you have taken and how you did on your science scores on the DAT. My GPA and AA are both higher than yours (3.7/18), but I have some lower DAT science scores and I have none of the higher biol classes you have because I was a liberal arts major. So you have a better shot at Baylor than I do.

Baylor sent me an email on December 1st last year telling me congratulations and that my official letter is in the mail. Last year, San Antonio and Houston did not send out emails.
 
I was wondering about the time of day. Early morning, right before they leave. 8am?

I honestly don't remember what time of day... I wanna say it was sometime late afternoon. I also know of a couple of people who got the email from Baylor on December 2nd last year, which was a Saturday. Good luck to all, and I hope to see some of you in July in San Antonio!
 
Dr. Thomas at San Antonio just called and told me she "put something in the mail for me" and Congratulations! She was very nice. My last name starts with a "B" so it might be alphabetical.

I received an email from Houston, dated 10:15 AM, at 10:20 AM.

Since it wouldn't take more than a couple of minutes or a few hours at the most to send out the email, do you all think it's over now?
 
we'll just have to wait...looks like all the peeps with bad@$$ stats are getting letters today. us, joe schmoes (or at least me) just have to hope there's room left for us

I actually have pretty good stats 21 dat with 3.9
maybe it was because I took my dat so late in late sept..
But I still had my interview in mid oct so I just don't get what the problem is🙁

Did you all get any regular mail letters along with the emails?..
It seems that some schools sent out the letters a couple of days in advance

Hey I received by email this morning at 9:10 and it was a mass email sent to "undisclosed-recipients". It also said "check the mail" so a letter will probably be received by those accepted in a few days. Hope this helps

Scholarships offers would most likely be included in the snail mail packet.
