Did anyone suggest that the emails all come today? If so that person must have caused hypertension in a hundred people at the very minimum.

We need to form an independent investigative party to find out if that was on purpose.
 
:laugh: i think duke suggested that emails would come out today when they said that they would begin sending out decisions on march 8
 
I'm in Utah, interviewed in October, and haven't heard anything yet. Which could mean anything. Best of luck to everyone and congratulations to those who have already been accepted. I still can't believe that I got an interview, so I feel lucky to be on here, waiting anxiously like everyone else.
 
whoo so i'm going to go ahead and probably make the false assumption that our interview dates are irrelevant right now.

haha, yeah right. i guess i can dream.
 
Urmm.. Can someone in teh states just call and ask if its today or not today or whats going on? what about someone who already got accepted? =.=

yay dream! and im sure they cant decide to admit/waitlist some, so taking this extra week 🙂 always hope! and the dean in the few acc. emails said the mail might come to them monday OR tuesday, always tomorrow!
 
Please let me know the decision before I'm going out of U.S. tomorrow...🙁
 
Are the acceptance letters USPS priority or are they your normal USPS mail delivery?

Somebody should call and ask if more acceptances are being mailed this week...the previous post makes me think we are only gonna hear rejections/waitlists. Why wouldn't they mail all acceptances the same day?
 
The mailman just dropped off a large envelope, but unfortunately it wasn’t from Duke.🙁 I am trying to stay hopeful, but surly a letter would have made the short trip to my house by now. Is anyone else in Durham/RTP still waiting?

see above, some acceptances sent on friday, and some are being sent today. dunno if more are being sent the rest of the week...
 
no west coasters yet? man I don't want to wait until tomorrow to find out

i think its local addy, i think my friends got acceptances last year in their school mailboxes...
 
You can log into the PAS and see which address they have on file for you.

Any of you accepted on the west coast??? I am at work but dying to know if I even have a chance of the mail being there.
 
man i sure wish i could chk my mail. i'm in NJ but no one's gonna be home until 7 or 8 tonight =\ but i guess it looks like they might have split up the mailings by geographic region? NE ppl seemed to have seen some acceptances today so if i don't have a letter i'm just going to brace myself

yeah i thought i didn't get anything because i checked my mailbox earlier in the afternoon (it usually gets delivered around noon), but then i walked past and saw the lady putting mail our boxes about an hour ago so i guess it just got here late

Yep. Juuuust like my MCAT scores. Gonna come out late. How ridiculous. I hate med school.

only 4 people showed they got in, someone in utah got in and that's further away from NC than texas... who knows, maybe an mstp, but not holding out hope. someone who interviewed after me got in, so i doubt its cuz i interviewed late...

i applied to 30 schools, got interviews to 4 "top tens" and 6 others, 8 waitlists/rejections so far, just Duke and UCSF left, doubt ill get into one those two... omg bad luck 🙁

Yes, the person who got in from Utah is an MSTP. I haven't gotten the official letter from the med school yet, either. Just thought I would calm your fears a little... 🙂

oh. thanks a lot!!! but, you know what. I'm done freakin out, all these highs and lows and no hope then hope. no more SDN or waiting for e-mails/mail for me!!! delete account ASAP lol

That sucks man 🙁. But remember that UCSF accepts 50% of their interviewees, so you have more than a fighting chance. Plus if you have a waitlist at >5 schools you'll probably get in off waitlist.

I just spent a whole day plus the 6 hours i'm ahead. haha...
but it is funny, in the last few minutes i have kind of reached some peace.

or maybe it is that glass of wine i'm sipping. time to attempt to stop worrying about this for now.

You'd think theyd invest in better servers after last year's fiasco. Maybe they just toy with the students they WL/reject as a sort of lolpwn. They are watching this forum lol'ing as we speak
