I have a bad feeling that I wont hear on the 15th, but I really do hope I do.
I feel like sometimes between 15th and 20th. But not 15th exactly. But I could be wrong.
Okay, so... what's the deal with this speech from Mrs. Sullivan? Everyone in the thread and on the interview feedback keeps raving about it. What does she talk about?
She kept giving me the Sarah Palin Wink!

She's no-nonsense type of person, she gives it to you straight. It's a nice introduction in the morning. You'll see it soon.
She doesn't have any prompts or slides or notes. She gets really philosophical on Georgetown's policies and the curriculum. She's a good public speaker and captures the audience's attention really well. She'd be a good advocate for any school.Okay, so... what's the deal with this speech from Mrs. Sullivan? Dude, imagine giving that speech for over 1200 interviewees every year. She does that.😱
Yeah, she's had a lot of time to perfect it I'm sure.Dude, imagine giving that speech for over 1200 interviewees every year. She does that.😱

It seemed that people got snail mail notifications last year. How do you guys know we will hear via email on 10/15? Did it change this year?
They told us email on interview day.
sullivan said pretty close to the 15th...maybe a day or two after. but if you don't hear in a few, then call them, and they'll let you know what's up.Are you guys certain the decisions will arrive in your inbox on Oct 15th? I know VCU will be Oct 16th right on the dot. I'm not sure about this school.
dunchanoeShe kept giving me the Sarah Palin Wink!![]()
and pretty sure that cricket's a spy! its a trap.

i'm really confused. i love georgetown and want to go there. ms. sullivan made it a point to tell us how if we've come this far, they're not interested in rejecting us. she also told us about the letter for the waitling list, etc, and how 75% of the ppl get off of it. but yet when i still examine the stats, georgetown interviews about 1000 people and only 350 or so get acceptance. does this mean that there are a ton of ppl who are waitlisted yet never write that letter? are those the people who got into top 20s?
I wonder if that cricket is still in the fishbowl room.
HA HA! I remember that thing. I asked if I could get an acceptance letter for killing it 😀

So, I was complete here on 8/17 and haven't heard a thing. Anybody complete before then and still waiting?

You can call and ask them about your current status.

True, I guess I could call them😳
I emailed them a week back with volunteer updates, my strong interest etc., and hoped that would light a fire, but to no avail. From the stats of the people that got rejected/accepted, I was actually pretty optimistic about this one, so it I am reticent about finding out any bad news. I will be out in D.C. at the end of the month for another interview and was hoping to consolidate...not looking good so far.
Have you had good luck on the phone with the Admissions office? Thanks for the quick response.

GREAAT, looks like no one will be hearing onthe 15th or probably 16th. The lady said "We won't be sending out decisions on the 15th, our Associate Dean is out of the country. Most likely the following week."
Looks like the hype was for nothing. GGGReeeat!

I've thought about that too and am really confused. Georgetown is my top choice and I'm totally writing one of those letters if I get waitlisted. I just hope other people don't write the same letter I am just in order to get an acceptance if Georgetown isn't actually their first choice. You know? I hope that 75% of people who write it get in because they're super serious about going.
This wait is killing me as well!! I was sooo looking forward to hearing tomorrow... looks like more waiting....
anybody hear anything??
And if you have, please post when you interviewd.
THANKS
If you scroll up, apparently we won't hear anything until next week.

I still think we'll hear this week. I don't believe everything posted on these forums and people answering phones are often wrong. Of course I could be wrong.
if u get a hold of sullivan, it seems she'd know best. she seemed pretty confident when she said we'd hear very close to 15th. as in a couple days within.YA i know....just wishful thinking i suppose...

I'm all for Monday, but with my crappy luck I'm guessing Tuesday.
Sorry if this has already been discussed exhaustively, but is it true that applications nationally are down about 12% this year? Seems like a pretty big drop.

Wow I hadn't heard that. Where did you get that information? Just curious.
in my school newspaper, there was an article about how grad school, esp law school, applicants are surging because of the recession and difficulties finding a job. but since you can't really just decide i'm premed now on a whim (as you need to take years of basic science courses and the premed track etc), the applicants is about in line as before.Wow I hadn't heard that. Where did you get that information? Just curious.

You should make a thread on the pre-allo forum. See what people say.
