I have a bad feeling that I wont hear on the 15th, but I really do hope I do.

Okay, so... what's the deal with this speech from Mrs. Sullivan? Everyone in the thread and on the interview feedback keeps raving about it. What does she talk about?

She doesn't have any prompts or slides or notes. She gets really philosophical on Georgetown's policies and the curriculum. She's a good public speaker and captures the audience's attention really well. She'd be a good advocate for any school.Okay, so... what's the deal with this speech from Mrs. Sullivan? Yeah, she's had a lot of time to perfect it I'm sure.Dude, imagine giving that speech for over 1200 interviewees every year. She does that.😱
It seemed that people got snail mail notifications last year. How do you guys know we will hear via email on 10/15? Did it change this year?
sullivan said pretty close to the 15th...maybe a day or two after. but if you don't hear in a few, then call them, and they'll let you know what's up.Are you guys certain the decisions will arrive in your inbox on Oct 15th? I know VCU will be Oct 16th right on the dot. I'm not sure about this school.
dunchanoeShe kept giving me the Sarah Palin Wink!![]()

I wonder if that cricket is still in the fishbowl room.
So, I was complete here on 8/17 and haven't heard a thing. Anybody complete before then and still waiting?
You can call and ask them about your current status.
Im gonna call tomorrow and ask to see if they are one of the schools who sends out emails at midnight on wed. lol Im going crazy waiting.
Will you post here and let us know what they say? Much appreciate it.
+1 Thanks! Will you post here and let us know what they say? Much appreciate it.
GREAAT, looks like no one will be hearing onthe 15th or probably 16th. The lady said "We won't be sending out decisions on the 15th, our Associate Dean is out of the country. Most likely the following week."
Looks like the hype was for nothing. GGGReeeat!
Ah man!!
Associate dean, why doesn't the freaking dean himself make these decisions?!
Yea I was waiting on this decision to see if I can cancel another interview I have at the end of October, now I have wait even longer.... Jesus Im gonna pay so much...
so she said the week of 10/19? It's definite the decisions won't be going out this week?
i'm really confused. i love georgetown and want to go there. ms. sullivan made it a point to tell us how if we've come this far, they're not interested in rejecting us. she also told us about the letter for the waitling list, etc, and how 75% of the ppl get off of it. but yet when i still examine the stats, georgetown interviews about 1000 people and only 350 or so get acceptance. does this mean that there are a ton of ppl who are waitlisted yet never write that letter? are those the people who got into top 20s?
anybody hear anything??
And if you have, please post when you interviewd.
THANKS
If you scroll up, apparently we won't hear anything until next week.
if u get a hold of sullivan, it seems she'd know best. she seemed pretty confident when she said we'd hear very close to 15th. as in a couple days within.YA i know....just wishful thinking i suppose...
🙁I called. Early next week it is.
Five bucks says well hear on Tuesday.👎
I was hoping Monday.
in my school newspaper, there was an article about how grad school, esp law school, applicants are surging because of the recession and difficulties finding a job. but since you can't really just decide i'm premed now on a whim (as you need to take years of basic science courses and the premed track etc), the applicants is about in line as before.Wow I hadn't heard that. Where did you get that information? Just curious.
Sorry if this has already been discussed exhaustively, but is it true that applications nationally are down about 12% this year? Seems like a pretty big drop.
