Complete 9/8 and Rejected today.

Good luck to those still alive 👍

Does Georgetown reject via email or snail?

They reject via email... very impersonal, so much so that they "assure you that your app got personal consideration."

Whatever, I'm just bitter haha. Would have loved to check out the school on an interview.

Damn. Rejected. And I thought my interview (9/18) went so well. Dude even told me... oh well whatever, I'm in somewhere so I'm invincible.

sorry about that🙁 congrats on your other acceptance though!

....Waitlisted! For the oddest reason, I wasn't really feeling this school in the first place. I have two acceptances so it makes the news a little easier to hear. Goodluck to everyone else. No letter of interest from me🙂

For the pre-interview rejected, when were you guys complete? 🙁

One SDNer said that they via email... is this for all decisions? Or do they also use snail mail? :/

interviewd the week as you gys (14-18th) but have not head a thing...anyone else not here anything who interviewd that week of sept?

were you towards the end of the week? maybe they only got to the beginning. or it might be a good thing-so far on here theres only been waitlists and rejections so perhaps they havent sent out the acceptance email for this batch yet?

Who did you interview with at GU? My interviewer told me he was going to highly recommend me to the program, but I didn't really see his basis for this because he said it 1/2-way through the interview and I hadn't even really shared all my reasons for wanting to come to GU. This confused me a bit...

I was complete in September and haven't heard back so I guess they're backed up with applications. 🙁

secondary complete 8/31
interview invite 10/28

maybe you guys complete beginning of sept will hear soon? who knows

Hey guys, I interviewed that same week everyone's talking about (Sept. 17th), and got accepted via. e-mail this week - hope this clears up any confusion, I'm not sure how they're going about sending decisions/in what order, etc. Good luck!!

Did any of you guys pick GTown over UMd, and if so, why?

Anybody who interviewed on Oct 5 know when we'll hear back?

Blerg, i would say next week for you, who really knows tho.

Okay, I need some advice, please. I interviewed in mid september. I know for sure that people on my day were notified on tuesday but I was not notified. I called the regular admissions office number to see what was up. The girl I talked to said that a decision "has not yet been released by the committee". I dont understand why so I sort of asked here that and she said she could not tell me. So, I think there are 3 things I could do: 1. shut up and not say a thing until I am notified. 2. call mrs. sullivan as she said my should be notified today and attempt to get a more clear reason. or 3. write a letter to the admissions committee restating my interest to georgetown.

I am thinking about going with option 3 but am just now sure. Thanks everybody

They probably just haven't come around to notifying you yet. It seems like they are pretty good at at least giving you some sort of a response post interview. If I were you I'd go with either 1 or 2, because I remember Ms. Sullivan saying that if you don't hear back by the time you're suppose to, to contact her.

ya thanks, i just dont want to bug them and hurt my chances or anything like that.

I interviewed on Sept 25th and when I emailed Ms. Sullivan about when I would find out she said I would not hear back till around the third week of November.

So I interviewed on 9/28. Any idea of when I should hear back by? I can't remember what Mrs. Sullivan said at the interview. November sometime?

Oh thats annoying. Interviewed on Sept 23 and at the interview she said end of October, I guess they are a little behind where she thought they would be.

Yeah, I don't know if we are in the same group to be reviewed but I would assume so since it was only 2 days difference. Her email said that the committee has not reviewed my group's applications yet and that it would take two weeks followed by a week of processing. She ball parked notifications around the third or fourth week of Nov.

I think they are definitely behind - I interviewed on 9/17 and got notified this past Tuesday, when originally Mrs. Sullivan said 10/15. It might depend on your individual interviewer, etc., so I'd sit tight and see if you get a decision this week before you write an interest letter, since you might get an acceptance and not even need to write it..

Any recent interview invites been sent out here?

I can't really remember at this point, but I think I was complete some time in early September.

Is it just me or is it kind of unorthodox in terms of how Georgetown accepts people not necessarily with the top stats and stuff. This is based on the people who were accepted and those that were waitlisted:idea:

yea it seems they really try to get people who would be a good fit. Or as they said on the interview day, they really try to weed out the "gunners" and get people who actually care about their classmates. 👍

Hey guys,

Current first year here at Georgetown. You guys are right, Georgetown does a really good job of finding people that will fit in the Georgetown spirit. That sometimes means rejecting/waitlisting people with stellar stats who lack community/team/cooperative skills (read:gunners). All of my classmates except maybe one or two are so helpful, often sending out guides/reviews made for personal use to the whole class even though we are curved based on each others scores.

Also wanted to say I'll check back here every once in a while so if you guys have any questions you want to ask me just post it here or send me a message! I'm happy to help! Good luck with your applications and hopefully see you for interviews or second look days!

to all the ppl who interviewed oct 6th..i called the admissions office. They said they were behind (confirms above) and throw out the 2-4 weeks.

i just want an acceptance....
