Is there a status page where we can see our actual status instead of that "payment sent and confirmed" page? Or, does the interview invite just show up in your email? Thanks!

I don't think there is an actual status page. I did however receive a "completion/app will be sent for review" email so if you haven't gotten that yet I'd keep a look out for it.

I too will take any unwanted invites...👍 Come on Meharry!

so Im new 2 SDN. I also have applied kind of late. I applied to 7 MD schools and my primary was processed 9/25. I've gotten back secondaries from all the schools so far and submitted 5/7. My Meharry file was complete yesterday. So how long does it take to hear about interviews?

I've been complete here since 10/9 (waiting on MCAT score) and still haven't heard a word from them...my guess is that it'll be a while for you too.

Yes, I also applied to Howard. I think these will probably be long-shots since I am non-URM, but I really, really like both schools. I hope I conveyed that well in my secondaries.

Well I was complete 8/21 and didnt receive an interview until 11/2. I got the confirmation for the interview 10/16. Hope this helps LOL

I'm here in Nashville now for my interview tomorrow. I like the area, its pretty chill. Nice change from what I'm used to in NYC. Plus, the BBQ down here is where its at! 😍Wow, haven't had bbq like this in years. There is a Halloween party at Meharry 2nite. Too bad I have a long day 2moro and no costume. 🙁 Hopefully tomorrow will be a great day!🙂

Lol, ok. Here is the general day. You get there at either 8 or 10..there are two groups of interviewees. 8am has morning interviews and 10 has afternoon interviews. Mr. Mosley will give you an introduction, little ice breaker and talk about Meharry (he's a nice guy). You have a financial aid presentation and a tour given by a very knowlegeable faculty member. Lunch is with a couple students (MS1-3), where you can grill them about the school. The interviews were all really chill for all of us there. The faculty is really laid back and easy to talk to. Nothing really hard in terms of questions as long as you are prepared to talk about yourself and your motivations. I would say though, the best thing you could do is to contact Mr. Graves and stay with students overnight beforehand. That, I believe, will give you the best perspective and insight on things as I stayed with a student friend and learned a great deal about the school before the interview day from the students in the dorm.

Yea for some reason it was the same with Morehouse. But they do because a student interviewee or two stayed with hosts from my interview day. You need to contact Mr. Graves (the guy that has been contacting us) if you need a place to stay. He's a cool guy, I spoke w him during my interview day for a while.

I had my interview yesterday, and it went very smoothly. None of the questions were too difficult and the interviews didn't try to grill you at all (I can only speak for my 2 interviewers tho). Make sure that you know your activities and your personal statement well. I got alot of "tell me about this experience" questions.

Cant really complain, mcat scores came out on oct 12 and i already have 4 interviews lined up. I know meharry requires some kind of thesis so i was a little concerned about that. I would still go to the interview if invited though.

interviews are a double edged sword: they give you another opportunity at an acceptance but they also cost around 500 bucks per.

The first interviews were on Oct 30, so I don't think anyone has been notified about their admissions decision yet. However, last year students were notified in about 3-4 weeks. (accepted, waitlisted, or rejected)

I had my interview on Monday and there is an interview with two faculty members (both of mine were clinicians) and then during lunch there was a student panel where we asked them questions...I wouldn't really call that an interview, because they won't be asking you any questions. It's really a time for you to ask them any questions you have about the school, the curriculum, or whatever. I wanna say that the only thing they have infront of them is your activites and personal statement. Make sure that you know your application well. One of my interviewers asked me something about an experience and I has sorta forgotten about it and I had to think in lightening speed about what it was, while keeping my face together so I wouldn't show any confusion, lol. You'll either interview in the morning (8am) or in the afternoon (1:00). There are two 30 min sessions with your interviewers. ALso, make sure you ask them questions when they ask (I'm sure you already know this though). Let me know if you have any other questions!

It's two interviews with two different people, and yes they are back to back. Basically they assign you rooms, so when you're done in one room with one interviewer, you just walk over to the other one. Good luck with everything, and keep us posted.

i'll be the one ridiculously excited to be there, praising God, breaking out into song--i'm so happy! but ya, i would like to go to HUCM because i fell in love with the people. i'll interview on the 17th of nov... but you know, you know, you know He gives unto us exceedingly above anything we can ask or think. i'm not trying to limit God. so there i will be enjoying the blessings and thanking God. i'll see you there!!!!!!!!!!! 😀
