My experience with getting transportation from the airport: it sucks. There is no bus that goes directly to the campus. You'd have to hop on at least 3 different buses to get there. I took a cab, and they really ripped me off. It was like $30. Don't take BlueCab or whatever blue one was. Total ripoff.

I didn't need transport back to the airport (my dad came up and drove me to Case Western right after my OSU interview) so I don't know how that would be. I think that students were helping ferry people back to the airport. So if you get to the school, they'll help you get back to the airport.

when i was looking for info on how to get from the airport to the campus, i found this bus route that runs between the two...
**be aware that it only runs on certain days close to the holidays, check out the listing at the bottom.... it may not even be of any use to anyone if they're not holding interviews on those days... 🙂

It cost me 35 bucks to get from the airport to campus. Luckily, there was a great M1 who offered to drive me and some of my fellow interviewees to the airport after the interview.

Ya bucks, buckeyes, it all works!

So is Taxi the only way to get from the airport to the campus? I requested a student host a few days ago and haven't gotten a response yet, so I assume I'm gonna be without a ride for my interview next week.

I'm here right now and wondering how to get from the interview to the airport... luckily my student host picked me up but can't drop me off... hope I find a way home? lol

The admissions staff will hook you up I'm sure.

I would ask about the "student safety services"... they give rides for free... though I've never heard them taking someone to the airport.

When we got to the office the admissions staff ask if you need a ride to the airport and they help find a student or someone to take you. All the best tomorrow 🙂👍

Anybody has any hotel suggestions? Quality doesn't really matter, should have internet tho. Thanks.

Yahoo! First interview invite, for January. I was complete in September.

Red Roof Inn OSU at 441 Ackerman Rd. It was $55 per night ($70 with tax and fees and such) for king size bed, internet, and only 7 minutes from the med school. I would definitely recommend it.

Seriously. Here and Case both told me that we'd know on the 15th or 16th. Ahhh the mental anguish.

sucks that I gotta wait for the actual interview, while you guys are waiting for accepances. Good luck though.

Just had my interview, loved the school. GORGEOUS

Met dingybvs hehe. He's a cute nice guy, he'll get in no problem.

finally got an interview invite here after being complete since the end of july! theyre already booking through the middle of january.

Lol, thanks. The school is friggin awesome. Great commitment to teaching, very accessible faculty(even the deans!), awesome students, and is absolutely surrounded by excellent hospitals! And there's the in-state tuition from 2nd year on to boot. Man, I really hope I can get in here.

Haha yes!! best of luck to you both

Thanks! They told us we'd hear on the 16th or 17th as well, they're fast! Here's to hoping for good news for us all :xf:

Thanks, but I ended up finding a host. The guy was from the same undergrad school as me too! OSU is really student-friendly.

OSU is amazing... I don't know anyone who has interviewed at that school who didn't like it. People there are so nice and they make you feel completely at home. Hope to see all of you guys next year!!

yay! interview! so unexpected...my stats are way below this school

same here! However, the stats from 2009 make it a must to interview here even if you already got multiple interviews for oct/nov. I hear the school is amazing and seems like a great place to spend the next four years!

Laid-back student interview. Pretty intense faculty interview, but none of the questions were too surprising.

If you happen to tour the anatomy lab ill be there 🙂

I walked through the anatomy lab today. Were you working on a cadaver?

It get to be much smaller than you think, when the ISP kids branch out

I heard usually only 30-40 students do ISP though. However, a great number of students do take advantage of the secret "3rd track"

What a weird thing that ISP thing is. Do you choose it when you start school?
