ugh it annoys me so much when schools do those silent rejections. I mean, we paid a substantial amount of money in application fees and spent countless hours slaving away on each school's different prompts. The LEAST they could do is send an automated email or snail mail letter. 😡

Anyways, here's hoping that we are NOT falling in to that category... if I haven't heard anything by mid-January, I'll start to really worry.

I got a interview invite last week and I was complete in August. So still hope for those complete in September.

i like when other people post key dates, so...

interviewed 11/12
accepted 11/25 although i didn't find out until yesterday (hadn't been checking online over the holiday and got the letter when i got home yesterday)

good luck to all!

Hey, when people are saying 'complete', do they mean they actually got an email or are they just refering to the date when they think they had everything in? I never received a complete notice and it's been a couple months... thanks for letting me know 🙄

Hmmm... I searched my inbox, and it looks like I didn't get a complete email. Just the "under review" notice on the status page. Did anyone else get an email?

I never got a complete email either. Just a notification of payment. I fly to Philly tomorrow to interview, so I wouldn't worry about it. They are very status page oriented.

i just interviewed there today. i dont kno if they were short on faculty interviewers but mine was done in just under 10 minutes and other people reported an experience similar to mine. I got asked twice about what I thought about the healthcare reform bill that got passed in the house. I would read about up about that maybe.

I think it really depends on your interviewer. Some of the people in my session said their interviewer was ready to wrap things up within 15 minutes. Mine lasted about 40 minutes, but this was probably because it was in the interviewer's own lab in a different building.

I loved the school. Everything was so new and clean. The school did not seem unsafe at all and the new building is gorgeous both inside and out. Honestly do not have one negative thing to say about Temple other than the hefty price.

How did your interviews go? Good experience? I'm interviewing in about a month and am pretty excited. 🙂

Ya i felt the same when I went, and it is pretty much my top choice, altho I have a tough time deciding because I also got into my state school, which is also good, and much cheaper, but still. Temple was awesome.

Be excited, its really awesome. I have nothing bad to say about the school, and I think being in a urban environment will really help me grow as a doctor. Besides, I think the safety issue is wayyyy over played, the garage is connected to the building, and you will be spending all your time in the building anyway.

Very relaxed. The student interview was extremely relaxed and such a breeze. The faculty was slightly more challenging but nothing too crazy.

My student interview ran about 45 minutes while my faculty interview ran about 30-35 minutes. Some people only had 15 minute interviews as a lot of the faculty were extremely busy.

Definitely. There is lighting everywhere and I saw cops everywhere on the streets as well. I was expecting the area to be a lot worse than it was. It's fine. It even looks new and fresh around the hospital thanks to the new building and the other health science buildings.

Oh that makes me feel a lot better. I really want to go to school in an urban environment. But the thought of being in an unsafe and unfamiliar (I'm OOS) area did make me nervous. Everyone made it seem like if I went to Temple, I was sure to get shot/mugged/etc. 😛

Interview invite today!!! WOOHOO! I think I'm most excited to get to see snow for the first time ever...sad, I know, but such is the life of a born and raised Floridian. My interview is on 2/18...anyone else going then?

Congrats, Allie! If you don't mind sharing, how long have you been "completed" there?

Thanks in advance and best wishes for your interview!

Thank you! I've been complete since 10/5 since my school took so damn long on sending out the committee LORs. Would have been complete when I submitted my secondary on 9/16 otherwise...

Getting nervous --they might send word at any time now for the Nov 25th interviewees...:scared:

Anybody have recommendations for hotels near the campus or close enough? Thanks!

just withdrew from my interview here. i hope one of you gets it instead!

good luck everyone.

also got in a month ago but don't post often.

Temple "clicked" for me so I'm definitely going here next year. Anyone else set on Temple?

I had a fine stay at the Conwell Inn on the main campus. It was $137 (compared to about $120 for the Hampton and Holiday Inn they recommend) but its much closer to the med campus and its a really low key place. I didn't like the idea of going to a huge hotel right before my interview. The Conwell Inn was quiet and cozy and the service was great. I stayed the night, caught a cab to the med campus in the morning and left my bag at the hotel. I caught another cab right back to the hotel after the interviews, grabbed my bag, changed clothes in their public bathroom (didn't want to pay for 2 nights), and took the train straight to the airport. The only negative was that there was no TV in my room, but given the circumstances that was actually a good thing.

(Don't forget to mention that you're interviewing at Temple so they give you the student rate)

I really want to but their price is killer, and I have a few other options and one is my state school which is MUCH cheaper, but I loved Temple, and if I get a good fin. aid package I am going there in a heartbeat... PLACE GIVE ME MONEY!!!!:laugh::laugh::laugh:😍😍😍

So did your hotel let you leave your bags there after you checked out? I'll be coming from out of state and flying out the afternoon of my interview...so I was concerned about what to do with my bag. I have some friends in the Philly area, but I'm not sure whether I'll be able to stay with them or not yet. Since check out times are usually 11ish, and I'm guessing I won't be done until 3 or 4 ish?

Yeah agree 100%. It's super annoying, and I think it really is a silent rejection for Temple for me. Perhaps they'll send out emails pretty soon.

Yes they did. The hotel is large enough to accomodate, but small enough to have good customer service. They even called a cab for me in the morning. But who knows, maybe it was just the suit 😎.

Anyone else's app stuck in the "under review" status? I have been "under review" for over month, now. Is this the infamous "silent rejection"? Do you think I used enough "quotation" marks?

It's been my status since forever and a half ago, too.

If we want to send an update letter, do you send it through the "Send Us Stuff" link on their status website?

Yeah, but I have no idea it went through. No ackowledgement or anything.

What are my chances for an interview?

25 MCAT 3.4 cGPA 3.3 sGPA

good EC's and LOR's

Anyone know anything about scholarships or fin. aid stuff? I am really hoping Temple will pull through and I can attend without feeling I am spending soo much

Has anyone else had to wait a month or more for a decision? I interviewed in the middle of November and when I called today, they told me that my file has yet to be presented to the committee.

I am really anxious to hear good news from this great school

I interviewed Nov 25th and they said they would definitely have ours done before the holiday break, so I imagine yours will be any day now.
