I just saw this quote "From my understanding everyone who isnt offered an acceptance is put on the waitlist. Waitlist notifications are sent by email." I just want to clarify: At the interview day, someone specifically asked this question, and they do in fact send acceptances, wait list invites, and rejections. There was a piece of literature that confused people (made us all think there were no rejections), but when we asked they confirmed that they do not put everyone on the wait list after interviews.
 
Hey all, just wondering if anyone has been accepted/waitlisted/rejected following a March interview. I was under the impression we would have received notification of our status by now. They indicated at the interview that we would hear by the 2nd week of April. Anyone have any info or insight on this? On pins and needles over here.
 
I'm also waiting for the feedback since I had a March interview. I recall that they said that we would hear back on the 2nd week of april. More specifically, I believe it was Mrs. Condon that had said that in past years she released this information on the the Tuesday of the 2nd week of april, but because she was late one year, she has just decided to say anytime around the 2nd week of april.


I'm sooo thankful for good friends, family, and most important anti-anxiety medications this week
 
Does anyone know if waitlist notifications (and rejections) are also sent out at the same time as the acceptance calls?
 
Anyone here anything yet?!? I'm not sure if I should call and try to find out. Any suggestions?
 
Has anyone contacted the admissions office or heard anything? I've been holding my breath since yesterday morning :/
 
What's the hold up? I thought they had the meeting last week?

Ayyyy!!!😱 Gadzooks! Did they explain why? I remember Ms. Condon distinctly saying they would get back to us this week (2nd full week in April). I've been chewing on my liver the longer this week goes on. I'm supposed to commit to enroll/not enroll for an MPH program next week, I was hoping I'd hear from Tufts before then.

Everyone gets that email. And whatever they told you on your interview day about when they would get back to you may not happen. The email above that everyone receives told my interview group that we'd hear the following week...it definitely took them 2 1/2 more weeks to get back to us. So basically all I'm saying is, I know that the wait is tough, but don't let their notices get your hopes up because you may not hear from them when they say you will. I had to force myself to not think about it and do somethin. It was tough though so I completely understand how you guys feel. Good luck.

Got the email. Hard to say good or bad news.

It's Bad: Request was to update mailing info, not phone info. Phone call is good news, email/letter bad.

It's Good: Why make absolutely sure that contact info is correct for bad news? Correct info is needed because of the good news forms we'll have to fill out and return.

It's Bad: There is a form to fill out for the waitlist.

I got the exact same email from Thomas Slavin as well about 1/2 hour ago (@ 4pm EST).

I (think) remember reading on this thread that if you get a call from Dean Neumeyer, you're in, but if you get an email, you're either waitlisted or rejected. Does anyone know if that is accurate? Do we have a chance of being accepted having received this email before receiving a call?
 
Everyone gets the same email, no need to overanalyze it.

I received the call a few days after I received that exact email.

Yeah I guess I could have elaborated more, but that's what I meant when I said, everyone gets that email. It is neither good or bad.

I got the letter in the mail. Im in lab right now but from what I remember it was need-based, although they did mention my academic record. They also said that only 7 students receive the Half- Tuition Scholarship. They should give significantly more quarter tuition scholarships. Good luck guys!

Wow Congrats!!! ONLY 7, man.... but that's awesome! You are most likely heading here now right?
 
For those of you who were accepted today, when did you interview? I interviewed at the end of March and was hoping to hear something soon.

I interviewed on March 25th, which was the second to last day of interviews. I applied very late in the cycle. Submitted primary on Nov. 1.
 
When was the Financial Aid Packaged dated, if you don't mind sharing.

I would be flattered to get a 1/4 tuition scholarship, but that would mean the tuition alone would still be 35K, which is more expensive than my state school. I think the only way I can go to Tufts is if I join the military.

However...why in gods name would you go to Tufts if you had alternatives that were cheaper and similarly ranked...even after "bonus money" is considered. Is the extra 200k worth the cool simulation rooms?

Debate....begin!
 
Hey, for anyone still waiting to hear from the school, if you call the admissions and give them your last name, they will let you know if your getting an email/letter next week and/or if you are getting a phone call. although, they said to me that they can not let you know the status of your decision over the phone. Best of luck to everyone

I guess if you were so rich that you didn't need to take out loans or you wanted to join the military anyways and their full tuition scholarship was just the cherry on the cake. I'm not sure how many people fit into either category but it does feel like the majority of the med student applicants I have met are MUCH richer than the average person.

I spoke to a few docs about it and they all told me that I should go to the cheaper school since it doesn't matter and the cheap school I'm considering has a great reputation anyways. I'm giving Tufts an opportunity to surprise me with a good financial deal before I withdraw.
 
I live in Orange County California. The Scholarship is for all four years but they do review your financial need and make sure you pass your classes.
 
Anybody know if they are making another round of acceptance calls today?
