After four days of calling the admissions office and nobody answering the phone, I finally got a hold of somebody today. Even better, I found out that I would be receiving a secondary application either today or Monday...WAHOO!!! I know it's only a secondary and it's really late in the game, but wanted to express my joy nonetheless. Speak of the devil, as I was writing this post I got the email awarding the secondary application. If anyone else is still waiting, there is still hope!

Now that I bored everyone with my post, anybody know if there are 1 or 2 interview dates left and when they are?
 
So is the consensus around here that there are two more interview dates left....one in january (1/23?) and one more in march. I also read somewhere that they had one already on 11/14. So are those the three interview dates?
 
Seems like 1/23 is the last one. 10/24 and 11/14 were the first two.

No OneMCATAway....wishful thinking. I was just hoping there was more than one interview date available since i got the secondary so late. Hopefully we will both hear back something from Drew🙂
 
Does anyone know if Drew is keen on letter of interests. This literally is my first choice and I would like them to know that.....

you could call to ask but seriosuly LOI are pretty useless pre-interview. I doubt any schools would take that too seriously or be receptive to that pre-interview.
 
Hello Guys!
I received my secondary Nov 3. I am going to turn it in tomorrow. What do you think my chances are?
 
My status just changed to:

Admissions Committee Review Completed
The admissions committee has completed their review of your application. You will be notified of your status by US mail after November 15.

This is horrible 🙁
 
Come on Drew, please give me the invite!!!!😀

finally officially reeeejected! thanks drew 🙁 i guess good thing i saw this coming.. otherwise way to ruin the thanksgiving weekend 👎

btw if anyone is wondering i had the "we'll mail you after nov. 15" status and i was about the second person who got the secondary in july!

I'm so sorry to hear that. I think Drew was ur top choice. Was this a pre or post interview rejection?

Has anyone received an acceptance from drew yet?

it was pre-interview! i was really excited about drew and put aside all of my other secondaries to work on this when i got it.. oh well they didnt like me as much 🙁

why not call them to double check. I got the same status then I called them and got the secondary on my email 2 days after.

What did you ask them? It would be amazing if it was just a false alarm..I don't want to get my hopes up though.

Nobody actually answered so I left a message simply asking about my status. That was about 1st week of November and I submitted my AMCAS application July yet. I had that "will hear from us by Nov 15" thing on the status website. After I made that call, I got a secondary through the email 2 days after from Sandra. Since it is already past Nov 15, it might be different, but why not try to follow up? Good luck!!

Oh I see..I submitted my secondary on Nov 5. And my status right now still says
"Secondary Application Received. We have received your secondary admissions application. Please allow four weeks for review of your application." So did you have like this one and then now changed into " we will notify you after Nov 15"? I just hope it is not a rejection...
 
It told me I was going to get a secondary in about 6 weeks? Its been like 2+ months now and I have heard nothing from them. I have emailed them twice with no response. I want my money back....it seems like at least they can send me a rejection letter or something...
 
Has anyone who was complete 11/10 or after heard anything?
 
This program would such amazing experience and to tell you the truth I'm nervous as hell. I just got an interview for 1/23 and I'm from the great state of Texas. I'm just not sure how many OOS acceptances they give out, like two lol. Does anyone have any advice for the interview.

wow congrats for the interview invite..when did you submit your secondary?

Once I got it via email they changed my status. All in all peeps don't get discouraged, trust me I've def. got discouraged during the process, I'm sure everything will work out.
 
I am in my 6th week of waiting and it still says "please allow 4 weeks".

It seems like not many people have heard form this program...

Yea I'm on my 4th week. I've given up all hope. Too bad b/c it was my first choice.

They seem to send interview invites right away to the people they want.....(like within 3 weeks)
 
from what i have heard this program is notoriously slow for getting back to applicants. based on last years thread seems like they were interveiwing up until march. so I won't completely give up hope just yet. :xf:

I'm down with that, until they officially say its over. I would pray about it and just patiently wait.🙂

O really?? Hmm...I was under the impression that the last interview date is this january 23rd. I had no idea they had a date in March....😕

I was told they interview through March as well.
 
Does anyone know what the average GPA/MCAT was for those who got accepted at Drew in the past?
I hear different stories about it..
 
Does anyone know if the first batch of acceptances have gone out? Just wondering if they wait to complete all their interviews since it seems like they hold so few or if they accept people after each date.
 
I heard that Drew is not so crazy about GPA/MCAT but rather focus on the applicant's commitment to help the underserved population in LA.
But on some websites, applicants accepted at Drew have ridiculously high GPA/MCAT scores like 3.8+/35+
 
Those of you who got the "November 15" status, have you all gotten rejection letters in the mail yet?
