I was really bored at work and logged on to AMCAS. They pretty much carry over all your information from your last one. It almost kinda feels like filling out the FAFSA every year. It's pre-filled already. Then you can just make changes to reflect whatever you've done since you submitted it. So if you're planning on doing it, don't get discouraged! You don't have to start over!

Ok, its official. Wayne State is a **** show. No one has any idea what is going on. I'm guessing this means that our anxiety can continue starting tomorrow morning.

Congrats on the acceptance. stats? IS/OSS?

I absolutely suggest starting your AMCAS right NOW if you are only on waitlists. Also, get it ready so you can submit it as soon as submission is available. Trust me, some of you will not get in 🙁 and you will be scrambling :scared:. It is better to be safe, 😎 than sorry, 😴. Start filling it out TODAY.

(Side note - I believe you can transfer over most of the information for the next years AMCAS but I am not certain)

Maybe all the people that were accepted earlier this month had responded so they didn't have to wait until tomorrow to see how many offers to send out? Who really knows wtf is going on.

BUT at least hopeful03 has to retract her "I told you so."

Who is going to be the bold one to call tomorrow to choke some information out of the secretary?

How many were accepted today, How many left on the WL, Where is seanshah on the waitlist, etc.
 
So I am somewhat glad to hear that they made some phone calls today...though of coure I am sad that I wasn't one of them. But, following along with the in-depth speculation so elegantly laid out by seanshah, I have an idea for tomorrow...

So they called people today near closing time instead of sending emails. Last week, people were getting emails in the morning telling them to call in, which means the adcom has to sit around and wait for the admitted waitlister to call them back. I think that they might be sending out some e-mails tomorrow morning. Maybe they made a few calls late today because they couldn't email them and wait for them to call in.

Since we are expecting a large movement, and assuming this large movement does happen today through tomorrow or Friday, I bet they called a few of the people to get some out of the way and are gonna send out a bunch of emails in the morning and expect many call backs throughout the day tomorrow.

Just my guess...but it is also based on my extreme hope that this is the case and we all get an email at 9AM and can call them tomorrow :ninja:

The only thing that worries me is that two people have reported that they got an offer. This probably means that several more have been offered today as well. Hopefully they were sandbagging and have several offers for tomorrow as well. If so, I think its a good guess to say that they'll be sending out emails in the morning. Hopefully it will be one of us. So is Dawn the person to talk to? Because I know that she is the assistant for Dr. Norman (the Associate Dean of Admissions) ... So she is the person that's been out for a few days I guess...
Therefore whoever calls tomorrow to check on everything should ask to talk to Dawn, bcuz she would know the most information about anything.
 
I got a missed call from wayne state, no message😱. Does this mean I got accepted? Do they send an e-mail or something or is it snail-mail again?

For those interested I am in-state and will not accept the spot. I was a much bigger fan of MSU CHM👍

CONGRATS AND GREAT NEWS!!! It was def. an offer. But thank you for decling. I know a few people who will be excited about that. That's one more for the home team. Could you offer your stats for the good people?
 
I am wondering if cindyloo and creepypete accepted their offers ??? It sounds like they did, but just wanted to make sure

Wasn't it IS as well last week? I haven't seen any OSS got pulled off yet.

IS 30 O, ~3.5 GPA ~3.5sGPA and my interviewer (director of minority affairs) told me I couldn't understand or handle Detroit because I'm white. Needless to say I was shocked to even be on the waitlist, let alone get a spot.

I guess am giving some thought to Wayne and I might pay the deposit to think over the decision but as of now I would bet on me declining

Wow, already two people declining offers. I hope that's just the tip of the iceberg! Here's to tomorrow and the coming weeks.
 
hey guys! I got accepted today also. I got a phone call at 345ish...I am soooo excited. I was crying on the phone 🙂

WOW! You guys are rocking it! When I last checked this thread like a week and a half ago we barely started page 23... and very quickly scrolling through I see a lot of acceptances! Can't wait to meet everyone in just a couple months now 🙂

If I end up getting off the WL at Wayne I highly doubt I'll pick it over State also.
 
I can't believe I'm up at 3:42 in the morning...does anyone else have trouble sleeping due to this whole waitlist thing?
 
WOW, there has been A LOT of action going on. Seems like quite a few people got calls yesterday afternoon! No luck here 🙁. Ohh, and yes I retract my "I told you so", but still who woulda guessed they'd be calling right before the end of office hours? Odd. Anyways here's to hoping they are going to send out a mass email to all of us that we have been accepted!!!
 
Also, this just goes to show that none of us really have any idea of what is going on, and yes Dawn is the "admissions specialist".
 
Update for me, they were calling my house so my parents gave them my cell phone number. Got the call a minute later, they had to confirm my amcas number and I almost forgot it but I did get accepted👍

So since Last Monday, there has been err...30 to 40 people getting off the list already. And they are if not all mostly IS.
 
someone hopefully call to see if they accept any OSS or NOT? :scared: BTW Canadian list is different from OSS list even though they are not diffrent in admission requirement
