It seems like they accept a lot of people from Canada and California. So hang in there.

Did you call in to check this? If it is true then its not good for Canadians on the waitlist.

I didn't ask...I got way to excited and forgot about any other questions I should have asked. All I know is that they are preparing to send a batch of about 20 out right now...and should be sent out sometime soon today.

I know...but they are DEFINITELY sending out emails, and they were working on them when I called. I would assume it'll be soon (hence me checking my email about every 45 seconds), but then again any assumptions I have made about this waitlist are usually a little far from what actually happens.
Hopeful, you need to get smartphone. I thought everyone these adays have an iphone, a blackberry, or some other phone that gets emails immediately. It saves a lot of needless clicking and refreshing 🙂
But you are correct about the assumptions. Its a wild process.
One month left on my contract before I can get one...would be nice right now...
Or get an e-mail client like thunderbird or outlook. It will notify you when you have e-mail in any of your accounts.

These 20 openings are probably unaccepted ones from yesterday. So it is likely that they will only go to In-state students today since the majority of yesterday's offers went to IS students.
I was hungry until I found out they'll be sending out acceptances.
Its crazy to me that 50 people are watching this. I'm assuming most of them are fellow waitlisters, so we have like 1/4 of the waitlist on here. Pretty decent amount.
I wonder if you are right, about them being the unaccepted ones from yesterday. I think if we learned anything its that most of our speculations have been wrong, and if they were correct, its because we have gotten lucky. lol. But I hope you are right since I'm an in-stater.
I am at work, doing research, and my hands are shaking so bad I can hardly do my work. I am so nervous for today now. I really hope I am one of them!
Also, I know some (yesterday) accepted people said they were withdrawing but I was wondering if we know if they did it right away, or if they are still gonna take a bit to think about it. If you remain on the waitlist even though you are pretty sure you are going to go somewhere else, I would think you might still take a bit of time to think about it and not just reject over the phone immediately, and maybe consider financial aid and COA or something. But I guess I dont know how some people are with their acceptances.

I just called and they already sent out all the emails. So if you didn't get any like me then good luck with the next batch.
She said they sent 34 offers between yesterday and today.
But you gotta keep in mind that not all 34 of those offers got accepted. So stay positive.

Losar your the winner. The news is these 20 were sent out YESTERDAY. The 20 acceptances are being sent out in snail mail/email today by the office for those students yesterday. Only after the 50 students currently pulled from the waitlist decide whether they are coming or not will more acceptances be given/or not be given. I hope I have quashed your anxiety, and not your hope.

I would have asked them about the IS/OOS breakdown of the 50 offers. It would be nice to know if us OOS people have a shot or if we should be making alternate plans. But thanks for getting that info and posting it. Now we can all relax and go back to work and be productive.

This should leave something like 150 of us left on the waitlist, maybe more (probably a good question to ask when someone calls). 👍 to guessing 30-40. You were dead on. So far, its already a total movement of about 54 people. We still have a chance, but a small one. I think the movement will slow down considerably from here. If its similar to last year, we'll probably see another smaller, but decent size batch in the next 2 weeks. I'm guessing sooner rather than later since the overall movement has been quicker, sooner, and more significant than last year. Then after that, it will slow down a lot I think. At that point, we just have to hope that waitlist spots will open up at other schools to pull students out of Wayne because I think that's where we will be at soon.

Your best bet is to call the Admission Office and ask.
I call there like once a day now...they don't bite.

I remember when I was looking into the program (a while ago though), they used to have a June 1st deadline so hurry up and get it in. One thing to note: this is a 1.5 year program, correct? So you won't be doing yourself any favors for the class of 2015.

I've got some good news for all of you OOS waitlisters...I just got pulled off my state school's waitlist, so I will be withdrawing my acceptance to Wayne as soon as I receive my packet from the other school.
I was really looking forward to coming here but I can't pass up my state school's tuition and reputation. Good luck to all those still waiting...it will happen!

good to hear. so..err...Canadian? when will we get noticed.
He's not Canadian. Also I seriously doubt they would separate Canadian students from OOS students. MFC is going to call tomorrow and check so we should know soon enough.
