Congrats!

Congrats! Have you joined the facebook group?

Wooohoooo Pedie PacksMD!!! 😀👍

Thanks guys! It feels great to have this acceptance. No matter wherever else I get accepted at, I know I have this awesome school as a choice to attend 😀

i'm new to this thread 🙂
so is anyone still waiting for an interview invite? It's been a long time and I haven't heard anything. Should I call to check?

Have you sent an update letter w/ activities and such? I feel like this is a more subtle and positive way to make yourself apparent to the school again... maybe even get your filed moved up to the top of the stack for another review. Good luck.

i am still waiting to here from wright state too...i wish they didnt hate me
🙁 in state, complete mid sept.

Samesies.... complete mid september. Not a word. Emailed them an intent/update last week and got no response.

hey guys,
is there a specific format for an update letter? I'm trying to put one together but not sure what's the most appropriate way. thanks

Finally heard back from WSU! Interviewed 11/17 and received my acceptance letter 1/15. It took long enough, but the wait was worth it!!

invite! oos

Have you scheduled yet? If so, did you get the confirmation email they were supposed to send?

For all other applicants: I called to schedule my interview for February, and they appeared to have a lot of open interview days. Maybe that is a good thing...

Can anyone post info regarding how long it took them to hear about their admissions decisions (regardless of what it was). I thought I remember being told 4-6 weeks, and it this week marks the end of week 6 for me. Thanks.

When did you interview? I interviewed on December 2nd and still haven't heard anything. They told us we probably wouldn't get our letter until the end of January because of the holidays. They might be backed up because of that.

It's been about 2 months for me :scared:

yeah, I was there on Dec 8. I really liked it there (a lot more than I thought I would, to be honest). I really could see myself being happy there for 4 years. We'll see.

I've been a shadow around the forums for a good year now and have interviewed at 5 schools so far. But I haven't been quite as impressed with any school as Wright State. Perhaps I'm still too surprised to know exactly why, but it took this school to bring me out of the shadows to say "Well done, Wright State. 4-6 weeks can't come soon enough!"

Good luck to everyone else, especially everyone I met today; it was fun!

I interviewed December 1st, and I just was told that letters will be going out today for my group. I would assume other interview groups are included in that.

So... after the months of wait, finally an interview invite for 2nd week in february! cant wait to see this school after all the good things I have heard. For all wondering like I was... I was complete mid september, sent an interest/update kind of letter the beginning of january.

Do you mind sharing your stats?

sure... 3.67/3.57sgpa/27R.

Wright State was my first acceptance and I was EXTREMELY impressed by this school. Everyone was very friendly and I could really see myself being happy here 🙂

any recent invites? does anyone know how many seats are yet to be filled?

about to withdraw from here since i got accepted to that other ohio school in columbus... name escapes my memory 😉

anyway, good luck to all of you!

makeshift.... thank you sir/mam. just interviewed here yesterday, would love to go there. I currently go to that one school in columbus, enjoy it. I would encourage others holding acceptance here to help me out haha...

As for SNS... i was told that they will be done interviewing there by the end of this month... so i guess they could be giving invites till then. When i got my invite i was to schedule for the next week... so they do short notice.. good luck. its a great and unique school

I have not heard anything does this mean that my application is still being considered? I guess my question is do they decline before the end of the review period, or do they send only decline at the end of the admissions process? I'm just curious to know if I'm still in the mix.

Have any OOS applicants been successful with in the area pre-interview emails?

Does anyone know when WSU stops interviewing? Do they go on through March?

Just received an email from the admission's office..they have concluded their season of interview invitations and will be sending out letters indicating so. (I don't know if they will come via e-mail or snail mail). Sorry! Hope that answered your question..

most likely me lol

How many people does WSU typically waitlist? I know the class size is 100. Are there like 50 people typically waitlisted? Anyone know how many were waitlisted last year? asking because I don't really know what top third or middle third means unless I know that number.

This sounded interesting... looked at US NEWS and I guess for the 2008 entering class... they accepted 159/374 interviewed instate and 34/69 out of state.. total 193/443, ... so the waitlist must be a bit larger than 50 but i would bet at least 50 are off the waitlist then...

Interesting numbers Cocobobby.

I'm so excited to have a Wright St. acceptance. The small class size will make for some great relationships amongst each other and the faculty... This just seems like an awesome, supportive place to learn medicine.

I wish they had a second look weekend.

Trying to make some room --just typed up three post acceptance withdraw letters. One is for WSU. I've lived in Dayton all my life (except for undergrad), but will be moving out this summer. Good luck to everyone who's waiting.

Does anyone have any idea regarding the waiting time for hearing post-interview? I interviewed in the last week of January and swore they said we'd hear in ~4 weeks. At 6 weeks, I'm curious if anyone who interviewed around that time has heard yet...

It's been 7 to 8 weeks. Hang in there!!! It's coming soon!

Btw, Who is watching the conference championship tonight against Butler!?

I'm feelin the upset, wooohoooo!!! Let's go dancing baby!

Does anyone have any clue when Wright State ranks their waitlist?

They will rank in the middle of April and should know of your status towards the end of April. 4 things can happen 1. Rejected off the waitlist 2. Placed on the top third of waitlist 3. Placed in middle third 4. Placed in bottom third. Hope this helps.

I'd love for that to be the case but I sent an email to the admissions office and they replied by saying they make up their waitlist in early June and let us know then.

Just got a full ride from here! wooooooooo!

Nice! You taking it or going to OSU? And did they call you?

How's everyone doing? Watching the games...anyone have Ohio State winning the finals?

By the way, I got a financial aid post card in the mail from WSU. Did anyone else receive that?

I got it and I'm on the waitlist. Is it because I added them when we filled the Fafsa or could it mean something good. lol

What a tease!

This waitlist is brutal. This wait is brutal. ARGH. I tried to start a post for all the waitlisted but no one introduced themselves. Do you think we should start a post for all of us who were waitlisted?

I just received my letter in the mail yesterday, and found out I've been added on the standby list too- what a bummer. I was really hoping for an acceptance as this is a totally awesome school. Though the letter stated they will make the waitlist around mid-May, do you think we might learn something sooner? It seems the school creates the waitlist around mid-April and starts sending out letters soon after. Also, from what I've read thus far, if you happen to be in the top-third to middle-third, then there are really good-better chances of getting in off the waitlist? Please correct me if I'm wrong, and any additional information will be extremely helpful. I called the Admissions office to get further information, but they couldn't disclose specifics for obvious reasons. Thank you 🙂

hey Chromosome, just wondering when your interview date was. I havent heard back from mine yet. Thanks
