Complete since 9/16, and still no decision has been made 🙁 Anyone complete around that time and heard something back?

I thought I remembered them saying at the interview day that they do rank the WL but they won't tell people where they are on it.
 
Ahh...I had my interview 10/11... this waiting is killing me. My post has not switched from the "a member...." to "the admissions commitee...final/a decision" yet. How long did it take people to hear after their interview either way?

um anyone still stuck at "no decision is available yet"? have been complete since mid aug:bang:
 
Does anyone know if Drexel accepts update/interest letters pre-interview?
 
I think I just got rejected. Has anyone seen this when checking their status?

"Thank you for applying to Drexel University. A letter will be mailed to your preferred address with status information."
 
Does anyone else see 'Decision Finalized'? When I go to check my decision, it says 'no decision available.'

If I'm rejected, just tell me!
 
Hmm, I interviewed in late September and I still have the original message

"Your interview has been scheduled. If you've appeared for the interview, please allow 6 - 8 weeks for a final decision."

Anyone else in the same boat? You think I should give them a call or something?

Well, if you interviewed in late September.. only four weeks have passed, and they ask you to wait for 6-8 weeks.

I don't think there's any reason to worry yet. If you don't hear by the week before Thanksgiving then you should try giving them a call.
 
Yeah, I guess you're right. It's just that all these status updates from other people have me :scared::scared::scared::scared: and checking my status like 10-15 times a day.
 
echen, I agree with Longshanks. It may depend on your interviewer - it's possible they could not make a meeting or submit their evaluations yet. Good luck and I hope you get a status change soon! 🙂
 
Interviewed 10/18 and my status still says "your interview has been scheduled..."

This game of "hurry up and wait" that we call the admissions process is very painful on the heart!
 
I heard back from Drexel in less than a month after my interview.

Def was quicker than I thought it would be
 
Do any other people have the status "Thank you for your application. Your file has been reviewed and will be re-evaluated later in the season for a final decision."

Did you get this status pre-interview?? and if so when did you tunr in you app?

Mine just changed to the this within the last couple hours. 🙁 Submitted my secondary 8/31
 
I just received the same updated status as well. What the heck does this mean? Waitlist? silent denial? waiting for first acceptance batch? arrrgg I submitted awhile ago and thought they would have made decisions by now 🙁 I really wanted an interview I love phili
 
I just checked and I got the same status as you guys above. From what I've been told, it's a probably not gonna happen hold (source - current Drexel students). Hopefully, we'll get some better news from other schools. Gluck!
 
I would be happy with any status right now other than no decision has been made etc... 👎
 
I've had no decision since the secondary came out too. SOooooo long.
 
Grrr really a probably not hold? What is wrong with me I thought I had decent stats 34R 3.6 and 1st published research from Harvard, tons of extras, college sports and leadership. Why do I keep getting these denials or no decisions. I only have 1 interview so far 🙁

Are you canadian? Honestly... it seems like this whole process is a bit random. some people with identical stats have 10+ interviews and I have 2. I think it all has to do with your state of residency and perhaps how early you apply. We could sit around all day and hypothesize about it but I think to a degree its all random.

yes I am, from Ottawa but graduated from UCLA. I just wish I had some more interviews by now. I did apply a bit late, but still I would think that an interview from drexel was within reach. I like phili and would have loved matriculating at Drexel 🙁

if you are intent on going here, you should probably write a letter of intent/update. Seeing other SDN'ers posts about this, someone went from 2 interviews to 9 from writing LOI/Updates. Its worth a try... But I feel your pain. I am in a state with 1 state med school, one historically black (who probably wouldnt give me the time of day) and 1 school that took half its class of 100 EDP. So competing with about 3000-4000 in staters for about 350 spots total makes things a little difficult.
 
some friendly advice for those who have never been to Philadelphia before and have interviews coming up.....

Airport to Drexel College of Medicine

Cab= $60
Train= $7

Both take about the same time too...

...interviewers who turn in their paperwork
...committee members who attend the meeting
...and an admission committee that focuses on out MANY attributes and less so on spelling in out essays.

The adcom meeting seemed packed (saw from outside). Me and many others ate all their left-overs. I hope they made a lot of progress for all those waiting. Good luck!
 
I interviewed here on Oct 12th so I hopefully I hear back soon-ish but still another 2-3 weeks from what it sounds like. Congrats to all who made it so far! The waiting process is so frusturating... I also interviewed at U. of Maryland on September 29th, the dean of admissions told us within 3 weeks HE PROMISES, and then today, on October 29th still no word as to yes or no. Every day of waiting just blows haha
 
interviewed 9/27. status just changed to "a final decision has been reached". i've gathered that this either means acceptance or rejection, but not waitlist. hoping for the best!

edit: for those of you who have also had this status - how long between the status change to receiving the letter in the mail?

People in last year's thread said something about the letter taking 7-10 days to get to you. My status changed (to "final decision") last Friday but still no letter here. Hopefully sometime between today and Monday!
 
Acp2010 - I received this status last Friday, and still nothing. I am hoping and praying that there is something waiting for me when I get home from work today. I will keep you updated. Best of luck!
 
For you guys with "a final decision," did it change directly from "Your interview has been scheduled" or does it have to go through one of the intermediates?
 
Interview invite today...OOS, complete 9/16. Interview scheduled for 1/8. First day available on the scheduler is 1/6.

Does anybody who has gotten accepted somewhere else wanna drop their date in november or early december. If you do please let me know ASAP. THank you.
 
I got the interview invite email, but my status changed on the page like 3 1/2 weeks ago. Glad I checked it then!

It goes through an intermediate "under review" status that says no decision has yet been made.

And for whoever asked, it took 5 days between my status change and receipt of acceptance letter (I live in Philly).

No luck here today... waiting is one of the most effective forms of torture there is, especially when you know there is nothing else to be done. I even live close by, I was really hopeful when the Philly peeps got their letters I'd get mine too!

i'm in the same boat so i e-mailed the office today and they said letters will be going out on monday. so hopefully we'll be getting some good news next week!
