LOL people who submitted in June haven't recieved secondaries and they're inviting people for interviews 😛. I hope being late doesn't hurt you here.

😕 I logged onto my decision page to check my status and it read
" Thank you for your interest in Drexel University College of Medicine. Our interview season has concluded. All applicants who have not been interviewed are being released from consideration for the 2010 application cycle." Before today, it was just no decision has been made.

For people that are complaining about not getting a secondary, try going to that link Asyouwereatrio posted (in the quote). Then click on create an account. There will be a space for your e-mail address; type it in and submit it. If they've received your primary app from AMCAS, they should send you an e-mail containing a banner ID and PIN.
Now...take those ID and PIN numbers and enter them here: http://webcampus.drexelmed.edu/admissions/MyApplication/
That should get you in. It took about a half-hour of poking around for me to figure this out. I figured if they weren't going to send me an e-mail in a timely manner, I'd try to access it on my own.
If this doesn't work, Drexel either hasn't received your primary yet (for some weird reason), or they hate you.

I got that too, is that a rejection?
my instinct says it means we are on "hold." B/c if this was a message they sent out to last years rejects, then it implies that they wait until late in the spring to just notify people that interviews are done, instead of rejecting early.
Ditto. For those who get invites, you don't even have to go click "Fall Semester 11-12." It will just show "Schedule a..... Interview"
BTW, does anyone know what time the later interviewees end their day?
Its so weird, I am thinking about calling tomorrow just to clarify. It is like they have a problem with using a language that you can understand. lol

I think many schools seem to be making the mistake of letting out status emails that they usually hold off on until near the end of the cycle. I wouldn't worry about it, as it really doesn't make any sense on August 30th. Could just as easily be a mistake.
Submitted 8/3, complete since 8/9. I also have the "no decision is currently available" status too.

I hope not... already submitted it that way... I got tired of waiting for Drexel to send me a secondary. I see it as taking initiative 🙂.

3rd interview invite!!! 🙂 So excited!! I'm a re-applicant with no interviews last year and this is so amazing that I'm actually crying right now lol
Let this me a sign to everyone not to ever give up! If you have a dream, work for it and give it all you've got and just keep trying and trying - don't give up, because the only time that you'll fail is when you don't try and you only succeed after the last time that you get up! So keep getting up and moving forward!! 🙂

Oh man, invites starting to trickle in. If I interview you and you end up going to Drexel, I'll totally give you a celebratory bottle of home-made wine if reminded later somehow.

I just received this secondary today (verified 8/9) and the only "essay" is to talk about what you've been doing if you took time off

All I know is my app is complete, and I haven't gotten any angry e-mails or calls from Drexel saying "Why didn't you wait for us? What's wrong with you?"
Finally got the secondary today, after having my AMCAS verified mid-July. Sent everything in, completed, etc. etc. Wish I had gotten this secondary earlier, especially since on banner it says my file was created a few weeks ago, but que sera sera.

I just got off the phone with someone at drexel admissions regarding having not received a secondary yet. He said that sometimes it can take more than 2-3 weeks and that they are just 'waiting for the AMCAS upload to go through'. Somehow I don't quite buy that explanation... once the AMCAS is submitted isn't it almost instantly available to the school?
My application summary says I'm incomplete. I haven't uploaded a picture yet, may that be why?

I would do the trick that the guy said above to get your log in. It is there, there is just something wrong with the system that sends you the secondary and it seems to kind of randomly work. Unless they are screening? But you account is already set up, you just need the login info.
do you think this is ok with the school? i'm nervous that they may not like it if they ever get around to actually reviewing my app.
I doubt they will even be able to tell. It will just look like you submitted the secondary at an earlier date. I don't think they pay attention to what date you receive the secondary, because they do not screen. If they screened from AMCAS, that would be a different story.
Well I submitted the secondary 8/30 (without an invite, just created my own login). They already had my information. And my status changed to "Complete" the next day (8/31). So I really don't think they care. I feel like there is just some glitch where they aren't sending out emails. So I'm just making it easier for them by lessening their work 🙂
