Are we to assume that all 40 of those infamous last interviews have been distributed by now?

... actually... I don't want to assume anything! [lol] So allow me to rephrase that... has anyone HEARD anything regarding the possibility of still being asked to interview this late in the game?

Personally, I was expecting at least a couple of people to post that they had just gotten interviews. Not regular HUCM SDNers but lurkers who had just received invites looking for advice and all. But no one has posted yet sooooo maybe there still is hope? Also as long as you haven't received that final email saying they are done reviewing files, anything is possible 😉

based on past years it looks like it could take up to a couple of weeks to get a reply after getting the out of com. letter.

Congrats you guys🙂! You are going to love this school. It's really more of experiencing the school and meeting students and faculty rather than being grilled with questions. Howard relatively interviews a smaller percentage of its applicants so it means they really are inerested in you guys. Just be yourselves and know your applications (primary and secondary) like the back of your hand so that your answers are consistent. Any more specific qs about the interview or local accommodations, feel free to pm me. Congrats again guys!!!!

Also, I found the link below to be very helpful while I was preparing for my interview and I thought some of you might benefit from it as well. I have contributed to this page as well as a good number of interviewees from this cycle so its also pretty current.

3. click on the "Questions" link at the bottom of the page.

This page should serve as a guide and give you a more specific framework/idea of the interview at HUCM...

All I am still waiting for my decision since OFC last week, was thinking it was going to come today but I guess is all about patience and faith as we all keep believing to join the 2015 class and take one more step towards our life dream.

Definately loved it, i visited howard during their tours and i loved it more than U. MD baltimore. I love the family and laid back atmosphere and most of all i think their mission seems to fit me and my background. Seems as if the students here genuinely want to help people out. Everyone was just really friendly.

I used to intimidated by the school since I am not black, but the visit blew me away and I knew that this is the school for me.

If i dont get in, it will be one of the first schools I apply to when the AMCAS opens up.

I know God has a plan for all of us, and we will all make great doctors just based off of the support we give to one another. I pray that those still waiting do hear a good reply soon.

The supplemental was pretty basic. It asks about volunteering, shadowing, why you chose Howard, any grade updates, high school, hs rank, I think SAT scores... Maybe some other members with better memories can add more....

Don't be nervous, its really relaxed. I was a little tense for the interview and the interviewer told me to take it easy, so no worries. I got there about 30 minutes early. It really depends on ur preference. They do start on time. If possible, I recommend traveling to the school the day before so u have an idea of travel time and know your route.

I agree with JW3- come a little bit early (it's always better than late) I was there 30-40 minutes early (just because I was too nervous!). I ended up interviewing first and got it over with! 🙂

Try your best to answer the supplemental form, you have about 40 minutes! message me if you have questions! 🙂
