You should receive an e-mail saying that a decision on your application has been made and that you can CALL and find out your status. If you've been accepted, then the packet they send you INCLUDES your actual acceptance letter. 🙂

Yeah that's what I was think... My eyes are focused on March 15th. I circled that date on my calender lol.... Since its sent out via snail-mail, should I be more focused on the 18th or 19th?

I think it's the knowledge that the decision has already been made and no amount of stress and anxiety will change anything. So I've felt less edgy than the past few weeks 😎😎 Thank God for that 🙂

the deadline is 12/15 but most people have there secondaries mailed off and completed before the end of october.

HU starts interviewing in September so by November, they would probably have interviewed about 30-50% of the class. So, turn it in as soon as possible which is around Aug 15th (that's when HU sent out the secondary this year)! Good luck with everything 🙂

On Feb 14 I received an email stating that I could call in to find out the decision and then 5 days later I received my acceptance packet in the mail

Oh, ok. That's fine. It's up to you, but just to let you know, AMCAS opens up on May 1 (so you can start working on your online apps then) and submission begins on June 1. So you have a good 3.5 months before the Aug 15th release of HUCM's secondary. But it's up to you, this is just my "2 cents". I wish you the best 😀

It's definitely not too late to get interviewed, but it might be really hard to get one this late in the cycle. But like everyone on here says, don't give up hope! Good luck!!

Hey, MissionEmed23. Welcome. To be honest, I feel like you probably turned in your secondary pretty late. Mid-December, all applicants received an e-mail from admissions essentially stating that half the class was already full. After that, a good number of us have interviewed (and some have been accepted) and the class is filling up pretty quick. Saying that, I would also add that nothing is impossible as long as they are still reviewing files and there is still space to be filled. Don't give up, but be realistic. You can call admissions and talk to them directly for a more accurate answer. I think their number and times they accept calls are in the previous page of this forum. Best of luck to you and I hope this was informative.

They interview until april, so there is definitely hope, but make sure you stay on-top of it and contact the admissions office to get more information!

I am so excited to actually be in a place that has 4 seasons!!! And snow!!! Winter here in CA...a majority of the people are seriously still wearing shorts haha. It's like not winter!!

LOL I envy your enthusiasm, Whatupron! We've been freezing here since November; soooo I'll do anything to be able to wear shorts right now!!

But I LOVE DC!! There is so much history and culture. I'm sure you all are going to love it, too 🙂

I just won all four books of the books you reccommended off of ebay for a total of 16.08 (including shipping)!!!😀... each book cost me .99 but shipping of approx $3 each. I feel like I just got a steal.

Im going to try to get to them as soon as I get them but we'll see how that turns outs seeing as though I have to complete my thesis, work, classes, studying, and find time to sleep lol.

Congrats! But I wont be taking the MCAT until August, and I dont want to rush any part of my application. Im going to hand in a representation of me, which means its going to be the best it possibly can and not rushed.

I live in Maryland, not so far from DC. In fact I work in DC but the commute is around 1.5 hours every morning and same for the evening commute (I use the metro). If I get into HU though I'll def move to the city or at least much closer!
