What is your question?

ah I called the financial aid office and they were very helpful. I was a little confused about the "federal stafford loan institutional form" and didn't know how I was supposed to find out how much to put in the unsubsidized section. basically the guy at financial aid said to put the maximum ($36,444) and it can always be reduced later on if I don't need it.

for some reason, I was reading the form and thought I was supposed to wait until I had heard back from Jeff about what aid I was getting or something. anyways I'm dumb, and problem resolved! thanks for offering to help though 🙂

Does anyone know when they stop inviting people for interviews? I'm guessing all of their interview stops are filled now?

Anyone with the "decision pending" status heard anything back yet, one way or the other (ie- rejection or interview invite)? The suspense...

I'd also love to know! At first, I was hopeful in thinking that this status was indicative of oncoming good news, but now I think that they automatically put this on almost everybody's status page...

Does anyone have any experience with the high priority or low priority waitlists? I was wondering if anyone knew chances of getting off of the waitlist and when it generally begins to move. I heard that being on the HP list is a "good" thing and that it moves fairly well (I also know people that go to Jefferson now who got off of it). Any information you guys can give would be helpful.

So... to add to the confusion of constantly changing statuses (haven't checked mine in a while) - anyone know what " Interview to be Scheduled" means? Hopeful (love Jeff) - but it's kinda late....

That sounds like a good status to have. Call the school if you need to find out for sure.

Sounds to me like this is an invitation to interview that may be on it's way soon! I'd call them and just ask to schedule it over the phone. From what I gather, if you get offered an interview, you're interviewing for a spot, and not a waitlist.

So it seems to me, after reading the latest postings, that there are two possible status flowcharts:

1)
Interview Decision Pending -> Decision Pending -> Interview to be Scheduled OR Rejection

2)
Interview Decision Pending -> Decision Pending OR Interview to be Scheduled

My bet is on the former...

Of course, medical school admissions seems to be ALL ABOUT the nuances, so I probably just posted this for nothing...

I think "decision pending" and "interview decision pending" are probably a 1st round/2nd round decision-type-deal. If you make it past the screening, then you'll be screened again for a possible interview.

withdrew last week, hope it gets things moving for y'all.

It wasn't for nothing, the flowchart is nice, I like it.🙂

Has anyone gone from "Decision Pending" to anything else yet? That's the only status I've ever had.

Hey Maxwell - I checked once, a long, long time ago, but I believe I used have "Decision Pending" (now "Interview to be Scheduled").

Good luck to you on Buffalo btw - on the wait list there myself and I know it's your top pick 🙂

Hey, thanks. No acceptances this late in the season can be scary, but I think I'll be OK.

Good luck to you as well.🙂

I checked my status today and it says "Interview Deferred" - anyone know what that means? Sound like a pre-interview hold.

btw.. has jefferson started pre-interview rejections yet?

Seem like Jefferson interviews longer than most schools. Where do my chances stand with a 3.83 GPA, 32P MCAT? Just got my new MCAT scores and I updated them but so far the site says Decision Pending.

Mine's still 'decision pending.' Anxiously awaiting invitation por una entrevista.

I have "interview decision pending." I was complete in September and they're still deciding?

So no one has "interview deferred"??? That's weird. I'm going to call them tomorrow and ask what that means.

Mine's always been "Decision Pending" too. I'm crossing my fingers for you for UB, I'm sure you'll get in!! :xf:

Accepted!!! received a phone call today, super excited🙂
(interviewed in Feb)

To people filling out financial aid forms, are we meant to fax copies of our 1040's to the office or email them?

Hey, thanks. You're probably right. I'll believe it when I see the acceptance letter.

I just noticed you got in, congratulations!🙂

that's where i've been checking! clearly we have the wrong address, there is NOTHING there to indicate status.

That is indeed where status is checked... you go to Display Secondary App Status

I've attached a screenshot 🙂

Yeah it's kind of misleading if the space after "application status" is empty. I haven't had any status updates thus far. Here's to hearing back (good or bad) soon! :xf:

I just called the Admissions Office to inquire about the vague "Decision Pending" status and was told that all they can tell me is that my application is still under consideration. Invitations are still being sent out and interviews will be conducted until the 2nd week of April so I guess we wait ...

Ya that's pretty much what they told me too.

In the fall, Dr. Brooks suggested I shore up my application by taking (and acing) additional course work this spring. At her request, I've been faxing my exams (all A's) to her office and getting encouraging responses a la 'keep up the good work.'

I imagine these people don't hesitate to turn you down if you're not qualified, but I'm starting to worry that I'm being led on... any thoughts?

i feel that that is the response i get when i send stuff...they just want you to play their game of bait and hook

Hey guys,
Sorry if this has been asked. My application status is pending as well... does anyone know if Jefferson does silent rejections? If we haven't heard by now I'm thinking its pretty slim to get an interview, noticing that another poster said interviews stop in less than a month. Affirmative? Negative? Thoughts?

Mine still says decision pending as well. From what I gather, they will continue to interview until mid-April which means the last invitations will roll out (I estimate) ~March 25th. But obviously no one knows for sure.

Just keeping the fingers crossed :xf:

pretty sure the status site has gone rogue...

Agreed. I checked it yesterday and it seemed just fine, although still displayed status "decision pending." Today there seems to be nothing there at all! I hope this doesn't mean anything in particular...

I can't even access the secondary application status page. And a weird "processed applications" line has appeared on the home page. Yeah, I'm pretty much about eight shades of crazy at this point...

I'm feeling the same way! I'm still really interested in Jefferson and would love to think that positive news for an interview is still possible, but this wait and lack of transparency is making me crazy!

Yep, I was also at "Decision Pending" and now cannot access the page. I'm starting to think this isn't good news. Either that, or they've made the status page inaccessible while they update statuses?? I'm freaking out. 😱

The banner page is really buggy for me as well. If I click on status, I just get some kind of http error or something.

My last status was "decision pending" yesterday.

I get the http error too... it's been a couple of days since I checked, but my status was at "decision pending" at that time as well.

Got a random and unexpected phone call today at 3:01pm inviting me to interview last minute at JMC (tomorrow). I'm super happy to have one more shot at an acceptance this cycle.

BTW, my application status page shows some http error and I hadn't checked it recently so I'm not sure if i had the pending status that everyone is talking about.

Just wanted to let everyone know that there is still hope!! Best of luck.
