So what does this mean? That one is not a "high-priority" waitlister and therefore has less chance of acceptance than a HP one?

Honestly, I'm not sure if anyone truly knows how this works. I can only assume they put fewer people on the HP waitlist. I do I know for a fact that students are taken off of both lists. It would seem logical to assume being on the HP list is better, but the regular waitlist is by no means a rejection.

Anyone have any intuition as to why we haven't seen anyone post yet that was accepted off of the HP list?

I suspect the wait list will start moving after May 15th, the last day to hold multiple acceptances.
 
Yea, but if i remember correctly, they had significant movement early in previous years, did they not?
 
has anyone heard back about financial aid yet about anything? hoping for some scholarships from jeff!

I received an interview invitation late last night for April 6. I thought they were all done handing them out. Can someone remind me if this is just for the waitlist? Thank you!

Pretty sure it's a legit interview and not just for WL. Last minute calls suggest a cancellation they are trying to fill you are the alternate. Happened to me too. Good luck!

What was your online status before the invite? Decision Pending? Interview Pending, etc.

Interview on March 30th, very excited!!!
How many applicants show up on interview date?

SO EXCITED! School is my top choice!. We'll see how it goes!
 
Something like 30 people show up on each interview day... they only interview one day a week.

AMCAS Application Received?
Yes Jefferson Secondary Application Received?

It's pretty much over for me at this point, isn't it?

I got an "Interview Status: Decision Pending" last week sometime (at least I'm pretty sure it was last week).

I assume everyone will get this status at some point... am I right?

I just checked my status and am in the 'decision pending' boat as well. I'd given up any kind of hope for Jefferson but now I'm curious. I was in the everything received category since at least August, possibly July.

I've had the "decision pending" status for weeks and weeks now, with no word either way as to what this could mean. I know a few people have received interview invites recently... any idea if they're done sending them now, and how many more interview days remain?

Also, has anyone been rejected pre-interview yet?

I'd figured it was over too until I got a phone call around 7AM this morning inviting me to an interview....my first thought was "is this an April Fool's joke???!!!" Just checked my online status and it says "Interview Status: Decosion Pending."

Hopefully there are more invites on the way!!!
 
Just called them , sounds like I'm interviewing on the very last day, April 13th....

I'll see you there! Are you staying in a hotel the night before? Can anyone make a recommendation for a hotel? I was thinking the Holiday Inn Express, but I definitely want the closest hotel for the best price.

anyone know if there's any chance of getting grants (not need-based) after they post this online? or do they put everything up at once?

Yea, can't wait!! I'm hoping to do the student host thing. I've never been to Philly, and I'm excited to have a bit of time to see the city!
 
I am on the "high priority" waitlist since early January. Has anyone been taken off the waitlist or know of any one who has been?

I know that Dr. Brooks has mentioned more likely there will be movement in mid-May, of course.

Anyone else been invited OR been outright rejected PRE-interview (correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember a batch of pre-interview rejections going out around this time last year...)
 
Lets hope the admissions committee is feeling particularly happy/accepting on this fine sunny Wednesday.

Where does one get access to the financial aid package? Did you get an email about it?

It'll probably show up in the Banner section of Jeff Pulse. You don't just get a financial aid package though, you have to fill out the FAFSA, send in the tax forms, etc. A lot of the instructions was mailed to us and e-mailed as well. Once all the forms and requirements are met, the school should probably send you a financial aid breakdown to you.

Does anyone know what the "Federally Required Entrance Interview" in the financial aid requirements is? Is that just the entrance counseling on studentloans.gov?

yes it's the entrance counseling. I completed it and they changed my status to completed or done or whatever it says on the Jeff Banner site.

they have put a cost of attendance up for 72k on my login. ouch.

I'm ready for some wait list movement! (May 15th seems so far away) Never been so eager to blow my savings on tuition!

Most schools are at this point technically. That is accepted students holding their spots start dropping like flies on or around May 15th.
 
accepted! just got the call from dr. callahan - my first acceptance, will be going here for sure.

So, rest of us should get pre-interview rejection in a few days? Or they hold on to that announcement for little longer for whatever reason??
