Hey, checked my status today and it said Interview Offered with the date. I didn't get an e-mail though--do you call to confirm or will they send an e-mail?

Sometime after July 14th. Not sure exactly when.

They email you as well

Do you receive a complete email? Or is there a complete tab on the app status? All I have are Yes' to AMCAS, 2ndary app and fee paid. Nothing else. Should there be more?

There is no complete email or tab on the application. I believe that you are complete when all three categories say yes.

when i try to preview my application before i submit it, the preview removes all the paragraphs from my additional information essay. does anyone know how to fix this?

Awesome, I have "Interview offered" too, my first one! They didn't email me either. The scheduled date on the app site is 10/13.

Edit: Submitted 8/11 (wow, they're fast), OOS.

By the way, does anybody have the skinny on interview\acceptance ratio? Their website says they interview ~800 people for a class of 255. This sounds pretty nice to me seeing as they probably accept nearly double the class size to account for attrition. Thoughts?

A couple years ago the rates were 71% of in staters interviewed were accepted and 57% of those who were out of state.

The stats I found suggested a 60-65% acceptance rate for people that interviewed. It also looks like they only interview about 10% of their applicants. 👍

anyone getting problems submitting their secondary application? i press submit so i can be forwarded to the payment page but instead i get this message:
ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column
ORA-06512: at "BANINST1.JMCSAPP", line 5009
ORA-06512: at line 23
???

If you're having problems submitting the secondary and you're not sure if your account was withdrawn, call the admissions office and ask. They can check for you. I had this happen when I submitted mine back in July (some problem with the server that night) and they were happy to help and pretty quick about it.

bah still hoping for an invite. i was complete ages ago. in-state too : (

Hey, don't worry! I submitted the secondary in early July last year and didn't even receive the invite until late February for an interview in March. Just remember that they do interview until April!!!!

Ilovewater, before that did you ever receive any news or notice from them? I mean dang waiting from July till February seems crazy without a peep from them.

interview invite and 12 at night? so weird, but I love it and I'll take it!
submitted: july 12th
interview: august 18th

good luck!!!! :luck:

Congrats! I got mine at 11:45PM from Jeff.

Nothing but silence until I got the invite. It was a pleasant surprise! Many schools do stay silent until the end of the cycle. I had about 2 or 3 invites in March....

With a 3.6 I want to ditch harvard and add jefferson. do you think it's too late in the game?

I got my interview invite tonight at 11:45 pm EST too!

Completed: August 6th
Interview: August 20th
Interview Date: October 13th

Does anyone know if they have earlier interview dates?

I'm on for September 29th. That's the earliest date I've seen on this thread. And congratulations!

Just got an interview invite for October (in my inbox at 8:45 pm PST so, yeah, 11:45 in Philly)! I was complete 7/15.

Any DE residents with interviews yet? If so, what's your timetable? Just wanna see if we're on the same schedule as other applicants. 🙂

When I called to confirm my interview on the 29th, they informed me that it was the first day of interviews. See you then!

To anyone else: Dates fill fast so if you need to request a different date, call them ASAP.

Sweet! Nice to know, thanks for passing that along! 👍

For the Jefferson secondary, I copied and pasted through notepad and then to the secondary application box. Not only that, I also typed my essay in there as well. When I click submit, however, my essay loses its format. For example, I am suppose to have 4 separate paragraphs, however, it all gets mushed into 1 big paragraph. I'm wondering if anyone else had this problem. Is it suppose to be jumbled into one paragraph? This has to be by far the most annoying application.

Hi,
I had a question with regards the secondary for Jefferson. For the SAT and ACT scores (suppose you took it multiple times) do you just enter the highest score for each section?

I'm soooo behind on secondaries! It sucks having to study and MCAT and worrying about secondaries.

I didn't have this problem, but it could just be a difference in how the typesetting programs recognize something like return/end of line characters. try pasting in your essay, then deleting all the space between paragraphs and re-hitting the enter button to re-separate it?

Tried everything. It isn't working.
I put dashes between the paragraphs so Im just gonna call them tomorrow and let them know waht was going on.

Thanks for your help, though.

I'm a DE resident and am interviewing on Oct. 20! What about you?

I submitted my secondary on 8/25 and haven't heard back yet. (But it hasn't been too long, so I'm not horribly worried yet.) Did you just print the DIMER app and snailmail that in?

How long did it take you to receive your secondary after you submitted your primary? I added Jefferson to my list last week and still have not gotten their secondary, is this normal?

I added it 8/20 and got the secondary 8/24

Yup. I submitted my secondary 7/4 and got the interview invite on 8/20. It's only been a few days since you submitted so I'd give it a bit before expecting anything. But I know us Delawarians have a higher shot at getting an interview because of DIMER so I'm sure you'll get one!

You can type <p> to indicate a new paragraph.

I have interview on Sept 22 so I don't know who told you the first interviews are Sept 29. I applied for their early acceptance program and they notify all early applicants by Oct 1. I am Delaware resident so I completed the Dimer application which is considered in state student

You probably are interviewing that day because you are early acceptance. I bet the first interview date for regular admissions is 9/29.

Man, I had a tough time with this secondary. I couldn't find any info about the school on their website. Ended up just talking a bit about what I'm doing this year, ~1500 chars

Starting to get burned out with this process, confidence teetering, pfffff

Don't worry about it, I just talked about what I'm doing this year and described some things going on in my life during a period of lower grades and ended up with an interview. I think the prompt really is just additional information, no need to expound on the finer aspects of their program.

I'm thinking about adding Jefferson to my AMCAS but my MCAT isn't that great. My GPA is good, but not amazing. I did finish an SMP with a Masters of Science in Bio with a 4.0 GPA though. Do you guys think I still have a chance? Is it too late to submit my application to them? I know the earlier the better and it's already september 8th 🙁
