Who knows? I use Embark to login and submit my class attendance for work, but that uses a different password with the same e-mail address. Glad it's finally working for you.

Question!
When I first went through the app, I remember putting down the names of my recommenders and choosing that I waive my rights to see the letters. Before submitting, my preview of the entire app shows that section empty: no names, no choice between waive/ no waive. I went back to the app and couldn't find that question anymore! I don't know if I daydreamed filling it out or something, but it's left as empty on my app and I can't go back and check it.
I submitted anyway, since I couldn't do anything about it. Anybody else have this problem when you view your completed app?

You probably remember doing this on a different application. I had the same issue, when I previewed my app before submitting the LOR areas were blank. I called the school and asked about it. The lady there told me that it was an issue the app had (that the page never shows up to fill it out, but it shows blank upon reviewing). I was told to submit anyway and AMCAS would just send the letters I had chosen for the school.

I'm freaking out. I was just browsing through the secondaries I submitted (because there's something wrong with me and I seem to have nothing better to do).
Anyway, I was looking at my Mt. Sinai application and I have the same 2 essays!
When I first went through the application review, I noticed this problem, so I went back and deleted, then uploaded the essays again, making sure I had the correct ones (named personal essay 1 and personal essay 2). It came up fine the second time, but it seems now that it's submitted it went back to the way it was.
I have to call them tomorrow to see if there's anything I can do, since I am not allowed to change the application now that it's submitted. If I can't fix it, I'm going to basically be out $105 and a chance at this school. I'm so angry.

You'll be able to change it. They're not going to screw you over if it's a glitch in the system.

I'm sure they'll be understanding. Isn't this their first time using this particular application interface? There are bound to be a few hiccoughs along the way. And you're super early, so no worries!
btw, has anyone received "confirmation of receipt" from them? I only have the "confirmation of submission" email... don't know why they send two, but to each his own, eh?

what exactly is so special about Mount Sinai, anyway?
Obviously it's a great school in every regard, but I can't say something generic like, "research is great here, I like research; affiliated hospitals are great here, I like good affiliated hospitals".

There are two specialties that I'm very interested in that they excel at/do a lot of research in, so I put that in my essay. Also, I wrote about my ties to NYC.

Well, good luck to all of you guys. I got really turned off by this secondary and have somehow lost interest in the school....so, I am not sending the secondary.

I don't remember any hard essays, they seemed kind of generic after submitting 6 other secondaries. The thing that was annoying was uploading the essays.
Were you turned off by the essays or other parts of the secondary? If it is the essays then I have to say that at first I was annoyed by schools asking about my specific interest. Basically I thought it sounded like they were fishing for compliments, but now I am discovering exactly what aspects I am looking for in an ideal school.

yeah the essays for this school were very typical.. it was annoying uploading it as normal and then seeing that the uploaded version puts two words as one sometimes! so i had to convert to pdf then upload

I second this question-- I was verified around 1-2 weeks ago and haven't received a secondary invite yet-- and I can't log onto their secondary website.

So I have a question, has ANYONE gotten their completion email yet?
I submitted my secondary on July 9th. The last email I received was from Mt. Sinai's embark program in regards to submitting my application. It said I would also receive a confirmation email from Mount Sinai, but since they're busy it may take several days.
I know I should chill out, but I think 12 = several 😉
So...anyone?

Ehh, yeah, I'm in the same boat. This school is a family favorite and my mother literally calls me up every day to ask if I've received the secondary yet.

Thanks. 🙂 I worked with mice last year and got very intimate with their taste system. I work with rats now it's definitely a trade-off... Rats smell sooo much better and are more interesting as animals, but operating on them is way harder.

After submitting our secondary, was I supposed to get an e-mail? I could have sworn it said I should receive 2 e-mails, one immediately after submitting to confirm payment, and one a little later when Mount Sinai has received it. I haven't received any e-mails. Did anyone receive an email after submitting?

Just got my Mt. Sinai secondary today! No longer feeling neglected, but we'll see how long that lasts. 😛

I have not received the second e-mail yet, but my LORs only went out yesterday, so that's not surprising.

I received that email on 7/9, but have yet to receive the second email. All my letters have been in since that date. I was complete at about 5 other schools by 7/11.

I'm sure you'll get it, I doubt they screen anyone pre-secondary.
Hey I called Mt. Sinai today. The answering machine said to call between 2-4 Monday or Wednesday for application status inquiry. I called at 2:30 and they said an online program is being made to check status, and that you cannot check my calling. The program is supposed to be out by mid to late august and we should all be notified by e-mail.

They're not going to care unless it's way over the limit. 10-20 words over is nothing.
