I received an interview invite for GW's Psy.D. program this morning (via phone call). Yay!!
 
I received an email this morning from POI at UNLV for interviews on March 4 🙂

I'm feeling pretty discouraged.. most of my schools are up on gradcafe at this point, but I've only heard something from one school (phone interview, and haven't heard back three days later, so it looks like I screwed up somehow).

Is there a "What did I do wrong?" thread anywhere? 😕

Is it worth calling all my schools and seeing what their status is?
 
Anyone have any news? Anyone know if they are done extending invitations?
 
Gradcafe is already posting rejections and waitlists, eek!

I'm trying to stay positive, a lot of my schools have been reported as still in review, including 2/3 of my tops, but seeing invites from 4/11 is discouraging.

Staying busy so that I don't worry is costing me too much money!!

I received a rejection email from the Department at Auburn today (1/20). It stated that a letter would follow. Congratulations to all those that received invites for interview.

Hi guys!

It looks like some people have already gone on an interview or two, so hopefully there will be some offers extended really soon! (Does anyone know how long it usually takes to be notified after an interview?)

I applied to UCONN but have heard nothing yet. If I didn't get an invite for a phone interview already, do you (or anyone else applying to UCONN) know that this means I am most likely not getting any type of interview/ not getting accepted?
 
So Duke's on grad cafe, does any one know if it was a mass email or from the POIs? If it was from the POIs what is the interview date? So I can start planning my schedule.

There's nothing worse than sitting at work with a computer in front of me... constantly refreshing my email and these forums 🙁

Congrats on the interview though!! Let's hope more start rolling in. I know there are a couple people who are wondering the same thing... WHERE IS FORDHAM???
 
So gradcafe now lists some invites, rejections, and waitlists for Auburn. Has anybody else not received any word yet? Congrats to those who got invites, btw!

My parents were bothering me today because I haven't heard anything. I keep telling them it's entirely too early to say I'm out of the running. They keep telling me to buck up and get a job and deal with rejection. Do you think its too early to forfeit? Only two of my schools have shown up on this website out of 12.

It's definitely too early!! Only 2 of my schools have showed up here as well. Keep in mind that there is still the rest of this month and the beginning of February to be hearing from schools. Look at the interview thread from last year to see when the schools you applied to sent out invites last year, and that will give you a good idea when to expect to hear from them this year (or when to expect them to pop up here). Stay positive, and good luck!!! :luck:
 
I received a PM indicating someone got a rejection from here:

UGA Clinical Psychology Ph.D.: rejection received via mass email on 1/20.

I think people will certainly be interested in rejection info, so someone created a separate thread for rejections. Please PM the manager of the rejection thread with that info so that he/she can update that list. Thanks!

I have been wondering the same thing and looking back at my SOP and CV to see if there was something I should have done differently. I was also wondering about contacting schools, but decided to hold off. I still haven't heard from any of my top 3 and they were such good matches! Only one is posted though.

Today was the day I was waiting for! Heard from three places all on the same morning I had a phone interview with UIC

University of Central Florida-POI called me(Thought it was the phone interview calling early, woke me up due to the time difference, had to get on my game real quick!). Interview next Friday(Jan 28th)

Temple University: Contacted by professor in the program, not POI, about interview Monday, Jan. 31st

University of Nevada Las Vegas: Contacted by professor in the department, not POI, about interview March 4th.

If folks want POI info pm your POI and I'll let you know!
 
Yes for checking e-mail and now I check Blackberry too in case I missed an e-mail during my interum e-mail checking :laugh:. I just keep getting crappy spam emails and nothing from schools...

You guys are so awesome that I have barely been able to keep up with all your invites! Just wanted to say congrats and sorry I'm not able to respond to each PM anymore (unless there is confusion about program or a question). When I try to respond to everyone's PMs, I keep getting a message that you can only post 5 in 5 minutes. Thus, I have given up on that =) Since I don't want to be waiting all night to respond to individual PMs, I thought I could send out a mass congrats to all those who have received interviews the past couple of days (and there were a lot of you!).

To everyone else - there is still so much time left so keep your head up!
 
Congrats to everyone that has gotten interviews!!! It has been a pretty discouraging day for me but I am trying to keep my head up..

Will whoever got the newest University of Vermont PLEASE PLEASE PM their POI? It is actually my top choice and I would really appreciate it. If you do not feel comfortable telling me your POI, I can tell you mine and you can say "yes" or "no." I would REALLY appreciate it 🙂

ps...This process is really grueling. It is painful and it is stressful, and I think we are all really brave for going through it. It is a brave thing to put yourself in a position to get rejected, and many of us will be receiving rejections. I hope that many of us will also receive good news! I do know that this process is really knocking me down a few pegs, and I didn't realize how difficult this would be. Kudos for everybody that is brave enough to go through this.

Absolutely it is too early to forfeit! Hang in there--you're still in very good shape with ten schools to go (plus there is still the possibility that you hear from the two that have shown up here if the programs do a rolling invite to interview rather than a mass e-mailing). I definitely wouldn't count myself out if I were in your spot.
 
Tomorrow is the last day of this week, I think I will only hold my hope up for A&M and Ohio until tomorrow, unless some of you have already known that they have sent out all invitations. In that case, please do let me know.

My cell phone is exceptionally quiet. And my email account and mailbox are soooooo empty. :scared::meanie:

ditto on the last part....so quiet...

got 1 invite, but not nearly for one of my top choices.
