Me tooo.. I havent heard anything at all from any universities that I applied (all are Psy.D programs)... Wright State, CWPost, Yeshiva, Spalding, Florida Tech 🙁

Wright State have already begun to send invites.. do any one know how many days usually they take to send out all invites?? other universities havent started as yet.. aaarggghhh!!! this is so annoying....😡

I'm interviewing at Wright in March, not sure if there were other dates offered or if they are done yet

CWPost is killing me, they are one of my top choices and I JUST got a hold of them after three weeks of trying to find out if my application was complete, I emailed them to find out when invites might be going out but haven't heard, will post if I do though

Hi all, first time poster and I've appreciated reading everyone's thread. It has been helpful and made the waiting process tolerable. I'm still waiting on any news from Syracuse or Albany Clinical Psych program and was wondering if anyone has heard anything?

I also know that American University has issued all of its invites (I didn't make the cut) and that UVA-Curry is likely done today as well. Hope this helps and good luck to all!

The PsyD program at LIU, CW Post has already begun to send out invites. They will have 4-5 interview dates in February. Applicants have already been invited for interviews for 2/12 (emailed last week) and 2/15 (emailed today from program coordinator). I'm not sure what the other interview dates are/will be. An email I received did say that they do not have a limit on the number of people that are invited for interviews. It said that everyone who met their "standards" for an interview invite will receive one. Hope this helps! Best of luck to you!

Also, has anyone heard anything about when St Johns was sending out invite requests?

Last, UCF (Cenral Florida) was supposed to let their admits know on either Friday or today (Monday). Anyone heard anything? 😕

I called Lehigh's counseling program today, the woman (office secretary?) was vague. She said that they have sent out invites, and she is not sure whether or not they will be sending out anymore. I think it is safe to say that I can cross them off of my list...

I heard from U of Miami about a week ago. I believe it was Wednesday the 2nd. I received a call from them, and unfortunately I cannot for the life of me remember who it was that I spoke with. I am not positive, but I have a feeling that they have extened most, if not all, invites just based on the fact that I have already received a call along with multiple e-mail confirmations. But who knows.

I wish there was an official data base available that put up all schools' stats to prevent us applicants from going criminally insane. Wouln't that be nice. Like, I still have to hear anything about the counseling programs at SUNY Albany and Seton Hall but there is no info on any of the postboards about those two! Too bad I don't have the gumption to up and call the schools like some of you guys do

Yep, the counseling program. I'd give them a call though because the interview isn't until March 4th, so they may be calling more people.

Anyone heard from St. Louis University? They had a later application deadline and I noticed they did not extend interviews until this week last year. This is one of my top choices and I'm anxiously waiting....debating on calling the dept. or just waiting and keeping my fingers crossed.

Hi everyone!

Please look into the APA internship application match rates for each school before applying and accepting offers from PsyD and PHD programs. There is currently a HUGE shortage of internships in psychology, and you will need to complete a 1 year internship to graduate. Here is the link to match data for each program. It should be close to 100% or I wouldn't go to the program.

Also consider the fact that clinical psychologists only make about 30,000 after graduating, and 60-80,000 later on in their career (depending on location). There is also a shortage of post-doctoral positions so people are sometimes stuck without being able to get the hours they need for licensure. I wouldn't go to a program that isn't fully funded because I know too many people who owe 1,000-1600 per month in loans and are unable to make the payments. You are way better off with a college degree than a clinical psychology degree if you don't go to a funded, top program (unless your parents are super rich).

Me too...4 of my schools haven't said a peep. According to last year's schedule 3 of them will send out notices next week with the 4th not until the week after.

So far I've received 3 invites but they are all different. One is to a clinical PhD program, the other to a counseling PhD program, and another to a clinical PsyD program. While at an interview, if I'm asked if I have any other interviews should I let them know? On one hand I think it's great that three schools are giving me an opportunity to interview, and that at least says something. On the other hand I don't want my interviewers to think that I am unsure of what field I want to get into. I don't want to jeopardize my chances at any of them, because they are all good schools. 😕

I believe that they are done sending out invites. You can call to double check, but this is the impression I got when I called. Best of luck.

Assuming we're talking about the CSU (Ft. Collins) PhD counseling psych program, I too have read that they do not interview prior to acceptance.

Has anyone heard anything from George Washington's PhD program? When I called, they said they were aiming to extend invites by the end of last week, but it doesn't look like anyone has heard anything yet? Doesn't sound too promising..

Also, has anyone else had to turn down interview invitations because of conflicts with other schools' interview dates? I find it incredibly frustrating because I want to maximize my chances of acceptance by attending as many as possible, not turning them down!

Received an email from FSU graduate admission saying that my file is missing something...I need to check back but I have an impression that I should have had already checked with the department and confirmed its completeness. Regardless, it's been more than two months pass deadline and all invites out! I am speechless.

Did anyone else receive an email from U of Florida informing you that you are an alternate? I am trying to gauge how many alternates they might have, so I can decide if I should be very hopeful, or only moderately hopeful. If so, can you also PM me your POI? I suppose the probability of being selected as an alternate varies for each POI....

In any event, I'm just hopeful that whoever my POI is interviewing has other amazing offers, so they'll decline and give me their spot!

I called the clinical psych dept last week and they said interviews for theclinical program will be on Wednesday, February 23rd. The crazy part is that they said it could take up to this coming Friday to extend invites, which leaves little time for those who need to book flights. I've already booked a flight for Loyola Chicago on the 24th so I hope that date is accurate and doesn't conflict. If anyone hears anything else, please let us know!

I was hoping/expecting to hear from Fordham today, too! I tried calling to find out what was going on, but I kept being transferred and then got an answering machine.
