Are they calling this year? At the interview they only mentioned email notifications
I thought they mentioned calling. I'll check my notes from the day to see if I jotted anything down, and I'll edit this post.
Also I interviewed the first day so it's possible they just told us what they did last year.
Someone asked that on the last page (post #305), take a look for a few responses.
I'm pretty sure they said they call for acceptances, but a different admissions person said they switched to all email this year. One of them misspoke, and I'm guessing it was the all email person, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. Good luck everyone!

Yeh mine hasn't changed either, but I interviewed a little over 2 weeks ago so maybe not enough time has passed
Mine had that for a while, but now it says "decision made". I'm hoping that means my phone will ring tomorrow!

About 3 weeks ago. I hadn't checked the status for a while until tonight, so I don't know when it changed.
Mine disappeared after a while too, but I stopped checking once that happened until now. You'll see the status once you click on the processed applications link.

Yea. That congrats message disappeared once I scheduled the interview. After completing the interview it came back (not sure if right away or after a week). If I click on the link, there is no status. I don't think we can read much into these.

There's lots of talk in pre-allo that AAMC is asking schools to wait until Monday to notify applicants, but I know some schools are already giving out acceptances. Anyone know if Upstate was planning on notifying us today? I know that when I interviewed they said we would hear on Oct 15, but I'm not sure if that's changed with this new rule or not.

Mine still says congratulations on the interview. Is this where you saw the status change? When I looked at the application summary it listed Syracuse as my campus, but I didn't see a status anywhere there.

To be exact, after I said "may I check my status?", the lady answered "Monday, ok?", and I thanked her and hang up.
I'll just wait them call next Monday. I was just calling today because I wanted to have a weekend celebration, oh well, next weekend.
I guess it means nothing then.
rafflecopter: The congratulations screen disappears and if you click on one of the hyperlinks, you will see a screen with contact info, and a bunch of other stuff. Since you still see the congrats screen your status hasn't changed.
Yea so taking that into context we might hear back today (or tomorrow for that matter).
Thats odd. I know we interviewed on the same day rafflecopter and mine has changed to decision made. Are they still making decisions today then?
If you had an adcom interviewer they might wait for another meeting if your interviewer can't make it. I don't know the specifics but in a minority of cases it takes longer to hear back.
Some possibilities:
1. They forgot to update my status.
2. They have not made a decision on my application yet (possibly interviewers missing adcom meetings or something).
3. A "decision" means either acceptance or rejection. By definition getting waitlisted is a non-decision, so the fact I don't have a decision could mean that I am waitlisted.
yep i got decision made with a campus listed, in fact, my status just changed to decision made a few hours ago.
i don't follow your logic on wait listed. It is still a decision from my experience in the last application cycle. BUT GOOOD LUCK.
Yea but the campus thing is there regardless. It means nothing.
But we didn't get the rejection emails and interviewed a little back so I'm guessing it's either waitlist or acceptance.

this thread has been pretty quiet all weekend...heres to hoping we hear good news tomorrow!!PS: I m a little ticked they decided to wait out the weekend, lots of other schools gave their decisions on friday or even sat. But whatever. Hope the wait is worth it

Called the admissions office because I didn't get the email yet. She said they'd be emailing people all day. No need to worry yet apparently.
Same. This is my first acceptance so that's a huge relief and I'd be happy here even if I didn't have other options. Good luck to everyone else, hopefully you all get that email today!
Accepted via email only one hour ago! Now I am officially an MD-to-be! ya-hoo!
Many thanks to Upstate for being the first school to give me an offer! I know I did a very poor job on my interview (9/20) to explain "why Upstate", because it is actually my safety school. Thank you, Upstate, for being so gracious to accept me even though I did not show full interest! I will be always indebted to your kindness. And should I be unlucky to get denied by all other schools, I would attend your school happily. Let's wait and see ...
