What's the chance of getting II from on-hold pool? Has anyone this year been given an II after hold status yet?

Were you placed on pre-interview hold? (sorry to hear that if this is the case) if so, when were you complete?

Hey Guys,

For those of you who have spoken to admissions, did they say they were starting to send out decisions today/tomorrow for everyone that has interviewed so far, or are they going to send them out in the order you interviewed? Like if I interviewed in October and someone interviewed in November, would we both find out today or tomorrow?

Also-- do they tell us by email or regular mail??

Was just placed in the Under consideration category via email. Interviewed in October
 
+1 but will be withdrawing. I hope another SDN-er gets the spot!

I read past years thread and it seems like the chances are very low as it is with many other schools. I'm in the same category and not holding my breath. I'm counting it as a rejection but hopefully I can be surprised...
 
i didn't get accepted or rejected.. just left under consideration. does anyone know the odds of getting in from this category??
 
Under consideration. I am completely shocked. I thought the interviews could not have gone better. I was sure I would get an immediate acceptance.
 
🙁 for me. I really thought it was a cute school with friendly people...i also thought the int went well but i guess not!
 
Under consideration here too... I really loved this school and am sad I can't send them an update letter (I actually have a legit update!) ..*it seems like last year no one got off the UC list until late May... I guess the waiting continues... congrats to everyone with acceptances!

Nope. it still says:

and the "acceptance packet" isn't in any of those tabs.
 
Accepted today via e-mail! I most likely will withdraw, and I hope one of you guys gets my spot. OOS 3.8/33S, interviewed 11/9.

UC, extremely surprised (felt it was my best interview)
 
This whole application process is very humbling - you may think you're hot s**t, but other people will view you otherwise. Keep your head up if you're UC, and wait - AMC usually draws quite a bit of people off its waitlist.

For those accepted, congrats!
 
ACCEPTED. I couldn't believe it! This was my first interview, and is my first acceptance. Let's just say I haven't been able to be very productive at work today.😀

Good luck to everyone still waiting, I hope that each of you gets to experience this same feeling soon! :xf:
 
i am under consideration as well. i am not surprised but still disappointed.

does albany reject anyone post-interview at this point?
 
would you guys mind putting your mcat/gpa with your status (UC/acceptance). i'm just curious if there's a correlation
 
For everyone on the UC list: After your interview you are given a score based on the average scores given to you by the admissions committee (your interviewer(s) + committee members). Your score doesn't change throughout the admissions process, but the cutoff score for acceptances does decrease as the cycle moves forward. They set the accept score high initially because they interview all the way through April and want to make sure there are spots available to good candidates who interview then (like me back in the day :laugh:). But it also means that early candidates who score highly, but not quite high enough initially, can move from the UC to the accepted list with each score reset. I am not sure how often they reset the accept score.

Has anyone whose interviewed not received either acceptance, UC or rejection?
I interviewed last week and haven't heard anything yet...

I am very jealous of your life experiences; I didn't see the Appalachian Trail in there though. I am getting a two week hiking trip in this spring, but nothing that compares to your awesome background. I feel like you have already decimated most bucket lists. Congrats on Rosalind Franklin!

I am under consideration here as well, and unfortunately, we were told during our interiew day that update letters / letters of interest will not be considered. We have already been "scored", and no additional material will change our score. So we just have to wait and see if they get to our scores... hopefully they do! I really wish this was not the case b/c I too would love to send an update / letter of interest. Also does anyone know if people have been rejected post-inerview?
 
Accepted via email today! Pretty fast turn around, interviewed on 11/17.
 
Hold...slightly surprising. I assume judging from the past few year's thread that this is a polite rejection. Any way to dispute that?

I agree that it's polite. Complete over 3 months and still no word, not even a hold?? 😕
 
Complete early September with a 3.7/3.74 with an mcat in the low 30s. It's polite but i would rather have no response now than a hold from what I gather they don't reject many pre interview
 
I've been complete since late August/early September and I still haven't heard anything. I've gotten other interviews so I know I'm not a terrible applicant...is there still a chance for me, or is it getting way to late in the cycle to receive interviews?
