Why is it obvious that the answers are out today? I hope so but I will bet for at least tomorrow. If it is out today, I think it would be around 7PM like last year!
 
Hahaha, I was just being facetious. This guessing process is amusing.
 
Long time lurker, first time poster. Just didn't have much to say until now...

Just got an e-mail from admissions that I was accepted to NP!!! Interviewed back on November 7.

Good luck to everyone, hope (some of) you will be my classmates!

Did anyone else receive email from HMS? I just wonder if they send emails out at the same time

They seemed staggered last years so they should be staggered this year as well!

This is weird that we have one response so far. I thought the emails were sent in patches...

Idk if this has been discussed earlier but do most accepted students come from "elite" schools? Is there a decent proportion that get in from public state schools?

If they accepted people from 88 different schools last year, I'm sure a good proportion of them were from public state schools.
 
I'm guessing auroradoc was trolling, regardless, I am just so happy that March finally got here.

One of the current MS1s told me that the MSTP decisions should be going out today.
 
Are you guys sure that it's supposed to be tonight? i think that it's more likely to be next week.....
 
I think at this point that person IS a troll. We'll see for real this evening though.
 
Granted it is somewhat unreasonable to expect Harvard to keep releasing acceptances earlier and earlier each year...

I wouldn't necessarily say that. I think its more so of a coincidence, the fact that the first Thursday of march was march 1st.
 
It is this late and no news. I guess the decisions are not coming out today

Since it is obvious that the answers are coming out tomorrow - anybody notice how in previous years the answers came when .... ugh I give up.
 
Relax, the tentative plan was that emails were meant to be sent today. The MS1 was not misinformed or misleading anyone. They must've decided to delay for one reason or another. You will be sure to hear back soon. When they are released, it will be in batches so do not fall for a single troll posting about acceptance.
 
Thanks for the update! Maybe we will see some interesting emails tomorrow.

Hopefully, the notion that they were meant to be sent yesterday is correct. Starting from there, then hopefully whatever caused the delay was easily fixed and letters will be sent today!
 
Maybe they learned last year that sending acceptances out Thursday night and rejections/waitlists the next day causes people who don't get emails on Thursday to panic. I bet they were flooded with calls on Friday last year from people who wanted to know their status after not getting an email on Thursday. Maybe they are waiting til after 5pm today so people have the weekend to settle down before calling the admissions office on Monday.
 
Amusingly they do seem aware that sending stuff out past 5pm is a good strategy for the safety and sanity of the office staff.
 
so many speculations...hms, stop torturing us and send the letters already!
