Nice to hear that this week started with acceptances... maybe more good news for us? 🙂
 
Hey guys, I am currently filling out the secondary application and am wondering whether the premed requirements are required before you enter the medical school or before you matriculate? I am lacking one semester of math.

I think the premed requirement is that you should be able to complete it before matriculating. You could put down for the other semester, that you are planning to take it. Hope this helps. 🙂
 
One more thing, I forgot to mention earlier when I spoke with Ms. Walk is that they do receive about thousands of application. She mentioned it takes time and to understand it with their (Admissions) perspective with how much time it takes. Hopefully in the weeks ahead, I pray that we may be able to share good news. I know many of us are waiting for those interview invites, and I pray that we get them.. 🙂

Hi guys, I sent in my secondary and it's shown to be received (by post office) as of october 29. I havent received a complete email yet from then, do you guys think it's too soon for me to email them and ask? speaking of which, has anyone had any luck emailing them? I did before but never received any response from the email i got on the website, if there's an alternative email that you had sucess with, could you please post? thx!

You should probably wait. The website says they will "acknowledge receipt of secondary applications about 4 weeks after" they get them. Unfortunately that's how long it is going to take.

Hey 5788401! It does take them time to mark it complete. They get alot of applications, and I think they usually send and mark complete applications in batches. I think you will be getting a complete email soon. They will send you the complete message through their [email protected]. They do read your emails, even though you may not hear back! You can also call at 202-806-6279. They take calls on Monday:10:30-12, and Thursday and Friday from 2-3:30. Just be patient and hope you get that complete mail too! 🙂 (pray for me!)

We gotta stay strong and keep the faith! I really want to go to HUCM, and I am praying everyday! Our Lord is the greatest and He has great things in store for us. I put all my trust in Him. May God keep blessing us, pray for one another and the rest leave it to Him! 🙂

Anyone else here interview on 10/26? I'm thinking we're in the 12/15 group.... let's hope. They told us what date we can expect to hear by, but I don't remember... this was my first interview and my brain was already too full. I can't take much more of this madness!! AAAAGH! LOL
 
I also interviewed on 10/26 but haven't heard anything. Ms. Walk said we should fall into the November 15th group but maybe they are behind schedule?? I am worried!

Congrats with your interview! They usually give out decisions after interviews in the 15th of the month. So if you probably didn't hear back now, most likely you will hear something around 12/15. Hope you hear something well epsilonprodigy. 🙂

Congrats SK23! If you didn't hear anything around 11/15, most likely you will hear around 12/15. Hope you hear well! As for the rest us, hope we hear something well soon! Praying to my Lord everyday, and He makes anything possible!! 🙂
 
Brother sweetness, i hope you have a wonderful birthday next week. I also hope you get some good news this holiday season. God knows I am thankful for having one acceptance in hand. I know yours is on the way too.

@SK23 did you receive an out-of-committee email yet? I interviewed the same day and assumed the same thing, but all is silent on my end......the wait is agonizing.

Thanks sister paakwasi. I'm really happy for you that you have an acceptance in hand!! 🙂 The one acceptance I am looking for is from HUCM.
Praying to my Lord and everything comes from Him. He is always by our side, listening to our prayers. and all Praises and Glory be to Him. 🙂
 
@SK23: i interviewed the week before you, and still haven't received an out of committee- the wait is killing me!

Hey, I'm currently a M3 at HUCM. Let me know if you have any questions. I may be a little slow to respond, but I will respond. SD Network helped calm my nerves tremendously during the interview period.

Just my two cents. Deciding to go to medical school was one of the best decisions I have made. I could not imagine being anywhere else other than Howard for medical school. The supportive atmosphere has allowed me to excel in the basic science years and on the first round of my board exams.

Every year has gotten better and I am enjoying my rotations. Good luck all!

I got an email prompting me to fill out the secondary about a week ago. However, when I click the link there is no word document that leads me to the secondary application. I emailed them letting them know I can't access it but no reply. Does anyone have the link that will lead me to the secondary application?

As Obeahdoctor mentioned, check for the attachment. You should be able to access the secondary through that. Did you see an attachment in the email?
