Sorry if someone has posted this earlier in the thread but how long after completion did you receive an interview invite?

There's no way to predict this. Rush gives interview invites up through March.

Hey all prospective students, I am a current M4 at Rush. If you have any specific questions about the program or the Rush application process, don't hesitate to contact me. In addition, I wanted to send you all a couple links of information that might give you a better idea about Rush and perhaps help you if you end up interviewing at Rush in the future.
1. If you havent done so already, check out the Rush Medical Center YouTube Channel. There are hundreds of videos on there about the hospital and the medical campus. Additionally, they have just posted a few Rush student profiles on there. The link is here:
http://www.youtube.com/user/rushmedicalcenter
2. For those interested in learning more about the history of healthcare in Chicago, I strongly strongly recommend reading the new book "County: Life, Death, and Politics at Chicago's Public Hospital". It is a very frank look at the history of Cook County Hospital, health care problems and the cultural climate in Chicago over the past several decades. Additionally it is written by Rush's Chief Medical Officer David Ansell. Not only will this give you an idea of how Chicago healthcare has evolved over the years, it will give you a glimpse of the value of rotating at County as a third year student at Rush.

Best of luck in this process.

Thanks for the suggestions! I looked up the book, and it sounds amazing. I know a bit about Cook County, but nothing substantial. Also, after being out of state for college, it would be good to get back into prevalent health concerns facing residents of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Anyway, just ordered it 🙂 Will let you all know my thoughts when I get through a bit of it!
Still
for an interview invite here 🙂honestly...lets be civil now
this was a joke and more of an inside joke which you are taking out of context but it was said because I was the only one on our interview day that didn't have a suit coat and this poster kidded by posting how there was an obnoxious applicant at interview day (me) who did not wear a suit. Don't get all forum sensitive.

No need to blow this out of proportion and take this any further. Congrats on your acceptance, and good luck for the rest of the cycle! 🙂
Good luck to anyone that's waiting on hearing back from Rush as well. Hope you get some good news soon 🙂

Congrats to all who have received acceptances! Any Oct 5th II acceptances? I wasn't expecting ours till Nov 2nd at the earliest, but figured I'd check. Good luck to all those still waiting for some love from this great school!
No news for 10/5'ers as of yet.

Just got accepted, so the doors are open for those who interviewed on 10/5!!!
Hopefully, lots more acceptances on the way soon, for 9/28 peeps, 10/5ers and everyone else. Good luck, all!
was it by email or phone call? and was your Rush application updated?
e-mail around 4pm; doesn't look like anything was updated on the rushsupp site.
Just got accepted! I'm going to be a doctor!!!!! I interviewed on October 5th and can PM stats if interested.
could you pm your stats for me?
Congrats guys! Interviewed 10/5 here too, but didn't get an email 🙁.

Did anyone from 9/28 that wasn't accepted hear anything about a waitlist or rejection? I'm trying to decipher if no email amongst your interview group translates into a waitlist/rejection. Thanks!
Interviewed 10/5 here too, but didn't get an email 🙁.
Solidarity, brother Steve... keep the faith, my man. They said 4-6 weeks, so six weeks is how long I'm gonna wait before I start worrying.

Nope, just radio silence.

Very true. I'll stay positive, but I never take it as a good sign when a mass email of acceptances go out and you're not included. Only time will tell.

Didn't get an e-mail either...

Yea, I certainly don't think it is a definite waitlist/rejection, but I'm a tad concerned.
I checked out last year's thread, and it was sporadic on when acceptances were sent out. People that interviewed on interview day X were accepted at all different times. So, Peter and HatWobble, keep your head up- we're still in this!
Thanks for the info. Love this school.
complete over a month ago..OOS..how long did it take yall after being complete to get an interview as an OOS?

When she discussed "the next steps," Jill mentioned that decisions depend on how long it takes your interviewers to submit their reviews. Some do it immediately, some do it weeks later. Jill forwards applications to the committee once a week, so if your file is completed the day after she submits, you have to wait another week to be passed on. There are so many factors to be considered before a decision can be made. Relax!

The longest time I know of for someone to hear back is eight weeks: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showpost.php?p=10480769&postcount=415 Hopefully that doesn't happen for any of you, but it has happened. Me, I heard back a little over four weeks after my interview.

I know it's hard, but try not to be pessimistic, y'all. Invitations to interview do go out through March, even to people who completed their applications early on in the cycle.

Haha, thanks. I'm totally relaxed 😀. Hoping for the best.

Is there anyway to check on the status of our application after we have submitted the secondary?

Besides the status page on the website for the supplemental application? Not that I'm aware of.

I received the 'complete' e-mail on 9/8 and haven't heard anything since. Should I assume they reviewed my application and I will not be getting an interview this year?
