Completely blown away by Rush today. What an amazing school 😍
Nothing yet. It's really only been 2 weeks so I'm guessing we should hopefully hear back from them in another 2 weeks.
I'm just impatient... It's something I'm working on haha
I really liked Rush and am hoping to maybe stay close to home!

II today! Complete 10/18, 3.5 and 38N. Hold out hope guys, they still had dates all through Feb, and it says they interview into March as well.

Congrats on the invite! I got one today too. I feel so fortunate and excited since I've had so little love from my own state CA.
I've been complete since 9/22. Average MCAT, average GPA. I guess it's time to let my love for Rush wither 🙁
I'd say it's for an actual acceptance. From what I remember from the Interview Day, they interview around 360 people total and accept around 237-ish. If you get an interview you have close to a 66% chance of getting accepted - good odds in my opinion.
Those odds are a bit lower for in-state right? (it looks like its more like 50% odds of getting accepted-still good though!) Does anyone know why Rush seems to favor in-state, my impression was that its an entirely private institution.
Agree that it's not an interview for a wait list. A number of my classmates (including myself) interviewed late and were accepted (no wait-listing).

I don't feel that there is an expressed preference for in-state versus out-of-state. I feel like Rush is a more likely pick for people from the area and so you'll see the scales tipped in favor of in-state/regional applicants only because of this.
My guess as to why they seem to favor in-state applicants more so than out of state could be due to residency. Students from the general Chicagoland area are more likely to choose Rush or affiliated hospitals in the area to complete their residency, meaning that the talent that they have invested in creating (us) stays here. That is simply my opinion though!

Any news on your app? I also interviewed there on January 11th and haven't heard anything. I'm freaking out a little bit but it seems like they might just be slow based on the time it took to process my secondary app.

I'm interviewing here on Feb. 22nd. What are some good sources of information regarding this school and curriculum? It seeems like their website was not updated for a while and it is not too informative. I would really like to know more details about their curriculum, volunteering opportunities ,and student life.

This school has amazingggggg volunteering opportunities (wide variety!) and the lady in charge was awesome to meet. I want to go there and befriend her. I have no idea where any of it is on the site though. Sorry!
The students all seemed really happy, and everyone was ridiculously friendly (literally every single person I passed smiled, said hello and/or wished me good luck!).
Chicago is an amazing place if you've never been. Definitely try and plan time to see the city if you can. The students I met said they lived on campus in housing or in the Loop or other areas.
Sorry I can't direct to specific websites, but this school certainly impressed me greatly.

Anyone know if Rush gives interview feedback?....got rejected from here post-interview about a month ago and sent an email inquiring about this, but it seems to have been ignored.

I think there must be at least one more round of IIs going out, they say they interview into March, and on the schedule they still have only opened up Feb dates.
Quite a few people have received interviews in March. I'm still holding hope!
