lol juuuust kidding. I just got an email rescheduling me for Sept 7&8 for the MD/PhD interview. Yay for rescheduling, boo for having to cross out the previous date in my agenda..

interviewed here today at temple. the facility was amazing, the students and faculty were really hospitable and friendly. I'm loving this school right now. 👍

the interview also cleared up some things that were mentioned in the blog previously. where you get interviewed at depends on who reviews your file first. If Leila Diaz reviews your file first, you interview at Temple. If Filomeno Maldonado reviews your app, you interview at CS.

the incident from last year's application cycle was also mentioned. I think it was around 20 something ppl that deferred. So the entering class for 2012 is around 180 ish. However, A&M will be more conservative in their acceptances in order to avoid last year's incident. They will not sent out very many acceptances this cycle, it will be fairly close to the 200's area (as opposed to 300). Acceptances will go out as the students decline the offer and more seats become open.

LOL, I completely agree. I've been complete since 6/9/11, and all i've seen the past 2 months are 4 "true"s and.... "PENDING"

I can't believe it's still pending after all this time. But I'm going to be patient since this is my top choice. I want to be a BAMF just like your application service. TEACH MEEE

In Texas hertz allows 21 year old rent. you pay a little more

i know enterprise lets you rent as long as your over 21 yo but they charge you $10 for an underage fee, and you can't rent any SUV's, only full size vehicles.

There is a time delay between when TMDSAS receives your MCAT scores, letters of recommendation, etc. and when we download this information. Also, there can be a 4-6 week delay between the time that TMDSAS transmits your application and when TAMHSC COM processes the application (depending on application volume).

Maybe by now the application volume is not as high and it wont take that long....key word -can- be a 4-6 delay....

Man I sure hope you are right about having something in the bank by 11/15, but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't send out that many pre-matches at all this year after what happened last year. Since this over-filling happened to UTMB 2 yrs ago and a&m last year, I am really hoping it doesn't have a "chilling effect" on pre-match offers in general...

That does seem strange. I would call them on Monday if I were you... I had to call TAMU at one point with an application status question and they were very helpful.

I don't remember the exact date I was complete, but it was sometime mid-June and I just went under review this past week. It is probably just taking a long time, but it probably wouldn't hurt to call 🙂

I retook the MCAT at the beginning of July. Scores were released on 8/10 and within a week BAMF had me updated to 'true' for MCAT received. I think if you transmitted your app earlier, 7/18 for me, then it will be 4-6 weeks from the transmit time, not the update time.

I just went under review also, FINALLY! I was complete around the end of June. I still haven't figured out the method they use to categorize apps and when they start reviewing. Good luck to everyone!
