I just got an email asking me to update my contact information. Is this an indication that a decision is coming soon? Is this sent to everyone who interviews? (Interviewed early March)

Also got this email. I interviewed march 1. Said decision letters would go out in a week or so for people who interviewed in March. Good luck everyone!

No call yet but I did get an email survey about interview feedback from Tufts. Did anyone else get this?

So quiet over here.. sigh. I was expecting calls to happen this week since the contact info email came last Thursday! Getting anxious. Practicing my patience haha

Edit: I got the survey email closer to my interview date (which was March 1)

Got the update contact info on Thursday of last week and received the survey today. I interviewed at the end of March. Getting anxious...

Glad to know I'm not the only one getting a bit anxious. I also received the update contact info last Thursday and the interview survey today. It definitely is raising the stress level of the already awful waiting process.

Just got my acceptance call. He left a message and said we should be getting letters till the end of next week ish. I interviewed on the 27th of March lol. so last minute

now I have to decide between Tufts and BU. Thoughts?

Uh oh, that does not bode well for the rest of us March interviews who have not heard yet. I was starting to think that maybe calls wouldn't go out until next week ... 🙁

You should choose BU because you're on a Tufts thread and we want you to choose BU.

Ha..or maybe you can choose a different school entirely? I am wait listed at BU and deferred at TUFTS 😉

Interviewed on the very last day (after a very last-minute invite) and got the call at about 5 PM ET today--accepted! I can't believe it!

Based on you two so far, I now regret choosing 1st day in March to interview instead of last. loll

I liked the school and it was my first acceptance, but after much mulling, I'm withdrawing my spot! One more for you guys 😀

Wow i am truly nervous now! Does anyone know if all the acceptance calls for March were placed today or will there be some more tomorrow?

Thanks Lucky Duck! ;-)

Anyone get financial aid awards yet?

I doubt they all went out today. Based on this thread calls were made in the past over a period of a couple of days. At least I hope that's the case hahaha I'm desperately awaiting one!! Good luck everyone

I got the phone call yesterday around 5pm! He said that letters and emails would be going out within the next week. I interviewed March 6th

I interviewed Match 6th as well. I really hope I get a call!

Is there a facebook group for the TUSM Class of 2016?

Pick the one that has people on the waitlist that you dislike.

Was just accepted via email a little bit ago. So happy!! Interviewed march 1

Anyone get financial aid awards yet?

I emailed the financial aid office to check that my application was complete and they said they were hoping to get packages sent out some time next week. Here's hoping we get some help cause Tufts sure is expensive!

Deferred email also. Arrrrgggggh, just prolongs the waiting and stress. So now any time from today til the end of May I could hear, that's not anxiety producing at all.......

So at what point do deferred applicants become waitlist applicants

Deferred 3 hours ago. You have no idea how much of a relief this is. Last year, I had to wait a week anxiously awaiting a phone call or email, and a snail mail rejection came the end of the next week. This is progress.

I interviewed on March 6.

I interviewed same day as you... I thought we had a great interview day group! I was also deferred... I guess i will need to keep my ringer on until i hear their verdict!

Good luck to you!

I think I might have sat at your table on interview day. If so, you seemed like an awesome person. Best of luck, I really hope you get in too!!!

Also deferred
*sigh*

4 wait lists and now a deferral...the wait continues

So I'm trying to decide between here and Georgetown. Both are equal in cost, though I don't know what kind of money Tufts will give. Can any current Tufts students give me an unbiased opinion of how life is at Tufts? I really like to go the gym, like six days a week, and I'd like the time to go out once a week on average. Is that doable at Tufts? What days are exams usually on during M1 and M2? Is there enough free-time third year to get studying and have a little bit of free time during the day?

When you went to the interview did you see the gym on the tour? I feel like if you really love going to the gym (6 days a week) you might find that it's a little... small. It's nice but it's not a college gym, it's a tiny room in the basement. Works for most people but maybe not for those who love huge gyms with a lot of equipment, lots of benches, etc. etc. I was disappointed cause there are no indoor basketball courts.

Of course this probably shouldn't be the only reason you choose Georgetown over Tufts haha.

While it is small, I really loved how conveniently accessible it was. You dont even need to leave the building! That's saves so much time! Haha. On the flip side, that might be a negative for some people. If you want basketball courts, an option is the YMCA across the street.

I did see the gym on the tour, and it did look really small. It reminded me of the one I go to at home during the summer. The fact that its in the building isn't really a big plus for me honestly since the one at Georgetown is really close to the medical school anyway. To complicate life even more there's also the fact that I'm from Mass but am currently an undergrad at Georgetown.

It is really convenient, that's definitely true. I just came from there haha. It definitely works for me since I'm not a huge gym rat, but I can see how other more hardcore people may find it small and rather limited.

As for the basketball courts at the Y, they kinda suck. I have a membership there and can never get a game going. Not to mention half the time it's reserved or has little 4 year olds running on the court.

What about tests? and free time during M1-3?

I can't say as well as an M1, M2 or M3 since I'm an MBS student and possible incoming student, but for the first semester (med foundations I) it's integrated so exams are all on the same day and then you usually have the weekend off. As far free time, it's really up to you and your study habits/ability to study. Honestly, it's medical school. You're probably going to be busy anywhere you go.

Did you go to UConn or Columbia? If either of the people at my table got in, i would be extremely happy for you! Are you going to accept the offer for Tufts?! 🙂 It definitely seems like a great place to be a medical student.
