cool, but i never asked about just listing. i asked about re-listing the same information from the AMCAS app, which was not answered in this thread.

ok, I don't mean to be neurotic here, but they were telling us to "list," so I am going to relist everything. But do I need to reword and restructure my sentences?

you can do whatever you want, i bet some people will just copy their amcas and some will reword it. It doesn't matter.
 
When they ask you to list your hobbies....do they mean like a bullet-pointed list or a mini-paragraph thing?
 
i chose to do my hobbies in a paragraph...but i have no idea if i should be going for an explanation of why I like each or try to be putting as many interests as possible (can a previous person who was interviewed at tulane tell us if they just want this b/c they want your interviewer to be able to pick one of these things and talk to you about it? that's my suspicion...)

i was mostly confused about the study abroad q. are they just expecting us to describe what we did and where we visited (how is that relevant to medicine)? or should i relate it to a talk about diversity?

lastly, can we really put BOTH CARES and LEAD down? I thought we could only choose 1.
 
Can anyone comment on how long it took them to receive a secondary?
 
Did anyone get an email saying their application was complete? Does tulane have a page to check the status of your app?

Tulane doesnt send out completion emails, just payment receipts.

Email title read Tulane Secondary Complete. I submitted my secondary the first day it came out.

OK I was a couple days later...I'm assuming everyone will get one of these than...so I shouldnt worry yet

I seriously consider not completing Gtown secondary. With the insane number of applicant and steep secondary cost, it looks like our investment has a slim chance of return profit.

I withdrew from GW already. Didn't really have a solid answer for "Why GW?" and after being put on review hold for the entire damn app cycle last year (and then rejected in June), I decided not to bother.

Okay I am confused on something - I do not have my MCAT score posted yet but am going to submit my AMCAS for validation. After validation can I go back in and pick additional schools to apply to or do I have to pick and pay for them all now?

yup you can go back and add more schools, just add them later and pay when you add them.

Sweet thanks. After a lot of hunting I finally found the answer lol. We don't have to re-pay the $160 each time right?

The first school costs $160, but every school added after that is $33 (regardless of whether those schools were added before or after your AMCAS submission).

Thanks guys. That's what I figured but just double-checking 🙂 Has anyone received a secondary to any school before their MCAT scores were posted?
 
What are the New Orleans Cares and Baton Rouge about? Do we have to check anything in that?
 
I'm pretty sure New Orleans CARES is the standard program.

For the question about study abroad, do trips abroad with classes at the home institution count? I've had a couple classes where I've been abroad for a week or two with a teacher, but I was still based at my regular college.

I checked both. Did I just apply to a more competitive program than the standard one? Did anyone know anything about this?

Yeah the waiting sucks for sure. Especially if you're the kind of person that likes to get secondaries done ASAP.

same! hopefully that means they'll be looking at our applications this week and start giving out interviews soon!

I don't think I selected either. I can't remember the secondary or look at what I wrote. Any idea if not selecting anything is possible (and writing an application for nothing)?

:EDIT: Never mind, I emailed support for the application and they sent me a copy of the filled out secondary.
