Got a complete email on Aug 2nd. Haven't seen this thread in a while and didn't know there was a slaughtering going on here. My condolences.

Why is Tulane so slow in completing you? I was completed 21 days after secondary submission.

Well my complete date passed... people got rejected. I didn't. Maybe I'll get the second round of slaughter. But I'm going to celebrate this anyways.

Complete July 18th...I think I may have passed that first hurdle too!

I'll give you that. I'm just making the observation that 7/11 people got slaughtered. Since then, it has seemed like they changed course or something with few people posting rejections

Haha that's the obvious criticism...but not everyone here is complete the first day

they seem to be sending out rejections about 17 working days after you received your complete email. Besides that, if people that were complete the same day as you get rejected, and you don't get an email that day, or the next day, it seems like a good bet that you've survived the first culling.
I just wonder if the next thing is going to be another review, with interviews, or another review with just rejections.

I hope that the survivors get interviews because it seems like a lot of people were rejected during this culling process.

Also, I noticed that Tulane interviews a relatively small number of applicants (~500) given the number of people that apply. That means those who are interviewed have a pretty good shot at an acceptance. Based on the 2010 MSAR, there were 443 interviewed for 147 matriculants for OOS. The number actually accepted will be a lot higher so maybe 50% + chance at acceptance. I hope that's the case!

Hi all- this may be a noob question considering this thread is seven pages long, but how long after you submitted your secondary did you receive a complete e-mail. I've been waiting for 2 weeks now...

Submitted July 12, Complete via email August 3.

Give it a week or so!

Invited for an interview! Awesome! This school ain't too fancy, and when I called to reschedule, the lady was really rude:

- I'm calling to reschedule my interview.
- JESUS CHRIST!
- ...
- Why do you need to reschedule?

Yeah, rude.

BUT I LOVE NOLA!!!! I have a close friend down there, so if you have never been and want to see the sights, smells, and tastes, and also have an interview 14th-17th, send me a message! Laissez les bons temps rouler!

GOT AN INTERVIEW!!! 😍

Automatically scheduled for September 12th - so excited/nervous!!

Atta boy, Blu! Isn't this your top choice?

I have many top choices... lol

All the schools I applied to are my top choices really. I didn't apply anywhere I wouldn't want to go and live 4+ years.

As far as out of the midwest and of course Boston... Tulane is numero uno.

Submitted secondary on 7/28 and have not gotten a complete email yet.....at this point I feel like I am just expecting a rejection with all these super star applicants being rejected.

submitted secondary on 7/18. received "Complete" email today 8/18

Does anyone who got an invite know how to request a student host? I clicked on the website they gave me, but I couldn't find anything useful.

the slaughter continues.... 🙁

rejected 8/19 complete 7/28

I'd like to share a Haiku on the news of my rejection from Tulane,

Slaughter Haiku

Gathering in herds
Fattened up for sacrifice
Meat for dinner now

Sincerely,
J. Fredette

any first years students know, or anybody heard, what the interview format is like? is there one or two?

edit: nvm, answered my own question, its on the admissions page. 2 interviews with faculty, one with a student in the form of a "working lunch".

Congrats to all those with invites and condolences to all those that fell under Tulane's axe.
