So, has anyone gotten a rejection from Harvard Med/Mass Gen? The neuropsych track in particular?

Also, Dartmouth can be added to the list of rejections. I received a rejection via e-mail from them last Sunday.
 
I received an invite today from Northeast Oklahoma Psychology Program, forensic track, via email. Rejections from Metropolitan State Hospital and VA Syracuse.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand anxiety level just shot upwards. I applied to NOPIP as well, though a different track. If you don't mind my asking, did the email come from someone within the forensic track? (Hoping that different tracks at NOPIP send out invites at different times :xf:)

Sorry Blindchaos, didn't mean to influence your anxiety level by my post 🙂
The letter had a name of the NOPIP chair on it and came from a secretary, not sure though of which department/site. Don't know if this means it is a general invite versus the one from a specific site (i.e. forensic). The timing can still vary among diffferent tracks...

No worries! I'm just thankful you specified forensic track 🙂 There are a few sites on here that have notified people applying to different tracks on very different days so I'm still holding out hope! :xf: (though I'm sure I'll be checking my e-mail more frequently tomorrow 🙄)
 
Just wanted to say good luck to everyone in this process!

I got a call from Appalachian State University CC yesterday and was offered an interview. I was pretty surprised to get a call. My girlfriend also got an interview at the Cincinnati VA. Hope this info doesn't increase people's anxiety too much!

I didn't hear a word either, and was convinced that I would get at least one interview or rejection given the long weekend. However, I cognitively reframed the lack of news by interpreting it thus: Since it was a long weekend, if my sites had made any progress on the applications it would have been BEFORE the weekend, and If they had made decisions I would have heard from them Wednesday (because who wants to create more work on Monday). If they didn't make any progress on the applications, they certainly wouldn't have worked over the weekend (except maybe the not so kind folk at Children's Hospital of Michigan who sent a rejection to someone Sunday- and I didn't apply there!). So logically, that means that they couldn't send me anything Monday, because they hadn't done the work yet, and I would be hearing later this week...

At least that is what I tell myself...

Current Anxiety 5.5 (By the end of the day, predicted 8.5 if I still haven't heard anything either way.)

If it makes you both feel any better, I didn't hear anything yesterday, either. I'd imagine today should be a bit more active, and tomorrow/Thursday significantly so.

whewwww take some deep breaths!!!

One thing I keep reminding myself and I think would be helpful for all of us to keep in mind: The applications are already in. At this point, the worrying will do NOTHING to help or hurt our chances. The best thing right now is to conserve that energy and use it towards rocking the interviews when they come up. 🙂

Just got an invite for the child track at Rochester today.
 
November 30th and no invites or rejections yet (applied to 17 sites). I guess I shouldn't be surprised since I applied to almost all university counseling centers. *sigh*

I know I luckily had two early notifying CC's but it is hard to wait for all the university counseling center notifications. These seems to mostly come from the 8th to the 15th based on past years. I would be happy to hear from even one this week. Hang in there Markro 311 hopefully we will be celebrating next week sometime.
 
I hear the White River Junction VA is calling applicants for invites...
 
After getting two early interview offers, the last three weeks have brought 2 rejections. Most recently a rejection this morning from Maimonides Medical Center.

2/4...only 16 more to go!
 
Got a rejection email from VA/UMB School track today. First response from 16 sites. Bummer.

Just got an interview from Maimonides (don't think there was a track) by email. WooHoo!!
 
Just got an email invite from the University of Rochester (Adult / PRIDE / DWC Track).

Fingers crossed for those of you who've yet to hear good news. I have to say I'm waiting on 11 sites and firmly believe that no news is definitely good news!

It is. I applied for the Adult track, but it was a generic email so I think they sent out the same invite to people in all three tracks.

Given that last year a lot of invites were sent out on the 12/1, I'm grateful that November only has 30 days.

no activity on my end either. i've been obsessively checking my email all day, but to no avail. hopefully something happens soon, or my refresh button might just break off!

Pretty sure I'm gonna have a rough day tomorrow. I will be at one of my practicum sites and I do not get any cell phone signal out there and can very rarely pick up any WiFi. No computer access either :scared: (I can bring my personal laptop but for whatever reason, my computer never picks up the WiFi signal. Every once in a rare while my iPod touch can pick it up)

Ditto from the Neuro track, although I just noticed that Existenz also mentioned it.

Surprisingly (and fortunately), the drive there wouldn't be horrible...might be able to save me a plane ticket if I can work up the motivation.

Be sure to schedule all of your clients that day in the room that has the wireless router...🙂
 
First response today - rejection from Creedmoor. 🙄 Would have really liked to start out on a positive note! Oh well, 17 more to hear from. :xf:

At least we have that definite to look forward to! I wish all the sites did that, although I guess that's why there's a deadline. Oh well. Keeping my fingers crossed for good news tomorrow, last night's VA/UMB fake out was a bit too much for my anxiety at this point in the game.

Agreed! Hang in there CMHpsych! It's still very early - two weeks is plenty of time for loads of interview offers to come in 🙂
