I interviewed here last Thursday (Temple) and absolutely loved it! Both of my interviewers were very laid back and easy to talk to, but it was still intellectual (which I very much enjoyed). One of them asked me to name 3 issues we are currently facing as a society and what consequences we are seeing, and the other asked me a couple of ethical questions (such as what I would do if a 16 yr old girl comes to you without parent's permission...). They also told us not to expect pre-match offers to go out on Nov. 15th because that is an interview day for them so they most likely won't send any out until the following Monday. Leila also mentioned that they are very conservative with their pre-match offers so most of the students accepted will find out via the match.

Overall, I really loved the program and I would choose this school over the other 4 I have interviewed at. I wish everyone the best of luck! If you are interviewing in Temple I highly recommend attending the social the night before, it made the actual interview day remarkably less stressful. Now let the waiting games begin...

I'm now looking forward even more to this interview! Just a quick Q, packet says day starts at 9 but leila's email says 9:30. So what time does it really start?

The day doesn't actually start until 9:30 or later. Most everyone in our group showed up by around 9 though. It's a relatively small group of interviewees, very fun day!

I arrived at about 9:10 and I was the first one there.
 
Hi guys, this is the only school in Texas that I haven't been invited to interview at and I would really like to check it out. Anyone know if they accept or are responsive to letters of interest?

i sent an interest/update letter on 9/5, but got no response. i did; however, get an ii on 10/5. i submitted relatively early too; probably was passed up and gotten back to.

Yes they are. Last year I wrote to Filo (email) (post-nterview) and received good feed back. I actually wrote to a couple of schools (pre-interview) and think that's how I got one interview for sure...

At the time (mid-Nov) I thought what have I to loose...

That's good to hear! It was one of my later secondaries, submitted in late July, but I had hoped to hear back by now. Who did you send the letter to?
 
What's the latest interview date that's booked already here ? Nov something? Has anyone got A December interview date yet?
 
Interview invite this morning! Early November.

Had given up and not checked status in forever, but it currently says "Under Review."
 
Eek I prob will never hear back then. Submitted my secondary super late.

I'm going to guess that this isn't the first time I've been evaluated. If you look further up the thread, it seems plenty of people had much further turn around.

It seems there is still a good month or so of interview days being scheduled, so don't lose hope!
 
Hi Rubisco, I just received an invitation two days ago for a 12/13 interview (at the Bryan/College Station campus).

PmAk, when did u submit your secondary? It seems like they are pretty much out of dates.
 
Hey all,

Does anyone know how long the interview day lasts and when the actual interviews take place (afternoon/morning)? The email says the day ends at 5 but I need to know if there is a way to leave early. I have another interview in Galveston the day after and I'm trying to get home to Dallas in time to take a megabus to Houston. I'm beginning to think this can't happen unless I drive to Galveston....Any thoughts?

I am supposed to lead a meeting at 7pm the night of mine (in Houston, about 2.5 hours away without traffic), so I called the admissions office to ask the same question. I ended up getting back-up because they said it depends on when our interviews are scheduled...and added that we won't know until that morning.

I am about 45 minutes or so from Galveston, so I would guess you are looking at a less than 4 hour drive. Probably significantly less without traffic.
 
oh boy.... I sure hope I hear some good news Nov 15 from this school. I am going absolutely nutso with stress and anxiety 🙁
 
Hey Rubisco - early July, I believe, but my application may (or may not) have gotten delayed due to some late (LATE!) recommendation letters coming through TMDSAS. I don't know if that's true or not, but I'm assuming that might have delayed consideration.

Which campus are you interviewing at? I was at Temple and it depends on when your interview is scheduled. Interviews were after lunch on my day, and both of my interviews were in the first 2 time slots so I was done at 2 or 3pm. Some people had interviews later than me though.
 
Does anyone know if its possible to join the program Partnership for Primary Care when students matriculate here?

I'm interviewing at the Bryan campus. I'm just going to drive up the night before and leave right after the interview for Galveston.
 
My status just changed from interviewed to under review.... This a bad thing? Am I rejected?

Mine stayed as interviewed. So I do not know whether yours or mine is a bad sign 🙁
 
Mine changed back to Under Review too.... I swear they do this just to mess with us!
 
I just looked at the 2010-2011 application cycle thread and a lot of the ones that went under review later posted acceptances.... I really hope I am in the boat.

So how much later were these acceptances posted? I'm not going to make it much longer. I am starting to see the white light.
 
Prematch offer at 9:40am! My status changed to under review this morning too and I just got the email 🙂
 
It was showing ~2 hours later I believe. Someone also posted earlier that they might not come out today but mon/tues. I hope that is not the case 🙁 I really really need this.

Accepted! 9:31AM interviewed: 8/30. TMDSAS transmitted: 7/17
Mcat 31-33. GPA ~3.8
 
were both of yours under review prior to getting the email?
 
Okay, I am trying not to be completely psycho and freak out that mine still says "Interviewed."

Congrats to all the new acceptees - how exciting!!!
 
I am freaking out because I have not heard anything for 40 min and feel I missed the boat 🙁
 
Did all the accepted so far, interview at college station or temple? I interviewed at temple, and nothing yet for me. My interview was in August.
 
I interviewed at college station. Still no word. I am stress beyond belief right now, seems like not many pre-matches came out.
