Leave it alone...they understand people have lives 😎
First day of class.... now that's a different story lol. They'll give you a lecture or two on professionalism including appropriate dress etc. so really up until then there's no expectations on what you look like.
PS they can't rescind an offer unless you break the honor code etc like you go to jail... and even then it has to be pretty bad 😛
Relax and enjoy life before you don't have one anymore lol

Has anyone done the Certiphi background check yet? I wasn't sure if it was just a background check or if it is a background check + credit report.

Awesome video!
Hey alternate list folks...does anyone know anything about the size of the list, whether they will tell you where you fall, etc.?
Wondering the same thing, but I don't think they tell you where you're ranked. How likely is it that people get pulled off anyways?

I just received this "Withdraw Survey" from A&M and was a little confused. I didn't technically withdraw from this school. I matched into my first choice, but put A&M as my second choice.
Does this mean that they send this to everyone that didn't place A&M as first choice or that maybe the applicant may have received an acceptance if it was higher on their match list?
Just curious.

I you were accepted by another Texas Medical school that you ranked higher than A&M then yes you technically withdrew your application from them.
By ranking you are saying if I get accepted by this school first, I won't attend/consider these other schools. There's no holding on to those schools, you won't get an acceptance from them later...that ship has passed.
If you were accepted from another out of state school that you consider your first choice and matched A&M in Feb ( and accepted them)... then I would call the school and check that's just a clitch and nothing has gone wrong but then in saying that: why are you holding onto this place if you intend to go somewhere else... kinda not fair to those waiting 😎
Does A&M notify wait listed applicants as people decline their seats or do they hold off until a few people decline? There hasn't been much movement on any of the Texas schools' wait lists and I was wondering if they hold off before sending out more acceptances or there really hasn't been any swapping around yet. I guess historically there's lots of movement in May. The wait is killing me!
Also, can someone be wait listed while holding an acceptance at a lower ranked Texas school? For example, if you have an acceptance at A&M but ranked UTSW higher, are you able to be on UTSW's wait list? The main question I have is, why would someone post-match decline an acceptance when we have the match process. I understand if someone decides to go out of state or personal reasons etc, but who does UTSW pull from (in the above hypothetical situation)? If UTSW only wait lists people that are not already accepted, then in theory there would not be much trickle down wait list movement. I had it in my head that what happens at other Texas schools very much affects what happens at A&M. UTSW has an opening and takes from UTMB which then takes from A&M and then A&M picks one of us! It's all very complicated and my mind keeps thinking of all the ways this might turn out. Anyways, just didn't know if someone already holding an acceptance could be offered a spot at another higher ranked Texas school. Any ideas?

Also, it's my first time posting, but I've been keeping up with this forum quite a bit over the last few months. Thanks for all the great advice everyone has been sharing. It's been helpful at keeping my head on straight and I really can't wait for the chance to meet everyone. First things first, I gotta get off of that wait list!

Yes... if you are waitlisted at UTSW and accepted to A&M that you ranked lower, then yes you can still be accepted by UTSW up till June 1st. From that point Texas schools can only fill places with students not already accepted to a Texas school. That is why there is a big push in May.... but by June 1st if you haven't heard from UTSW- you'll be attending A&M.
So UTSW waitlist movement depends on out of state acceptances until June 1st...then it'll move depending on those not yet accepted.
Hope that helps...

If anyone has considered military medicine and wants more info, let me know. I am in the Navy's HSCP program and it pays pretty well, full health benefits for you and your family, etc. Send me a private message if you want more info.
Looks like there has been a little wait list movement!

R1MD wanted to give my congratulations to you. I've been keeping watch and really was hoping you'd make it into our class! I am hoping it was as huge a relief as it was for me. 🙂

I did. Still in shock but so excited. Can't wait to be an Aggie, and crossing my fingers for all the waitlisted SDNers on here. I still think most of the movement will happen in May/June, so there's a lot of time. Most of all, thanks to you guys for keeping me sane the last few months.
^ Congratulations! Hopefully there continues to be more WL movement....can't help but feel a bit panicky now!
Thanks everyone. And don't panic...lots of time!
Congrats man!

That's great, congrats R1MD 👍. Has anyone else heard of any other movement on the waitlist?
I believe at least one person was accepted yesterday.
Any idea if we'll get any choice on the campuses (2/2 programs) we want when we get off the waitlist this late? I think they add people as they get admitted so there may be fewer options for those of us getting in now. 🙁 I'm almost sure Dallas will not be an option for us.
I'm not sure about Dallas in particular, but I know that I was given the choice of two tracks (B/CS-Temple or B/CS-Round Rock) and then the option to get on a waitlist. I chose to get waitlisted at Temple-RR and then got into that track a couple days later, so there is movement as people change tracks, etc. I wouldn't count it out, but I really don't know what the waitlist looks like for Dallas since I wasn't looking at that option. Hope that helps.
Well it's good to know we're on the same boat. I think someone said there was a 65% chance of getting your top choice, so I was hoping for my top choice. You can't have everything, I guess.
Any idea which options are open right now? Did they give us a pros/cons sheet for the different campuses?

No they don't give a pro-con list. I think they assume you will get that from the details of each campus in the view book and on the website. With regard to what is open, there may have been a couple spots switching around but what I posted below were the two options offered at the end of April.
Just withdrew my acceptance this morning...good luck to those of you still waiting to hear back 🙂
Thanks td215. Best of luck on whatever else you choose to do or go 👍.
