Rejected 12/3 >31, >3.8, lots of unique ECs. Bummer, really thought this school would be perfect for me.

Sorry to hear. You have good stats. Do you mind sharing when you were complete?

Interviewed here yesterday.

Everyone seems really happy and friendly and to genuinely love being there. Many people who were there at Tulane for undergrad stayed at the medical school. Even Dr. Beckman verified the "work hard, play hard" attitude of the school.

The interview was a walk in the park compared to the other interviews I went to. It was very relaxed and conversational. Loved my interviewers.

Anyway Tulane is pretty awesome. Hopefully, they'll get back to me soon 🙂

Can anyone please tell me how I can check the status of my application?
Thanks

There's no way to check your status online. They're pretty good at telling people if they're invited for an interview or rejected. This whole process is such a huge waiting game! Good luck!

Complete 9/12. No news.
3.45 cGPA, 36Q MCAT, for what it's worth, I think I would be a good fit for Tulane and have done a good amount of community outreach work

I called the admissions office to see if I could send an update and they told me they dont accept update letters pre-interview. Someone on the previous page said they called in and the lady told them if he/she hadn't been rejected yet, it's a good sign. Can anyone corroborrate this?
Getting so antsy!

Idk anything about it being a good sign but I called this week and I was told to expect something in about 2 weeks

Just received the rejection e-mail. Complete: 09/07. Good luck to everyone in the running and congrats to those that got in. I really want to visit NOLA!

just got the accepted email! interviewed on 11/26! my first acceptance!

Just accepted as well! interviewed 11/30

Received the rejection email as well....blah

I interviewed here on Friday and called the admissions office asking the best way to send "Thank you" letters. I was informed that the faculty prefers we don't send thank you letters. Anyone else have a similar response? I'm a little puzzled because I still want to send them but am not sure if they will help, hurt or even reach my interviewers. Thoughts?

Hi- I interviewed in November and send hand written notes to the two faculty who interviewed me and an email to the student interviewer. I got accepted 9 days later. My pre-med counselor from my undergrad told me to send thank yous. I didn't even think to ask Tulane what they preferred. I don't think it makes much difference in their decision so if you want to, I say send them.

edit- i sent them directly to my interviewers. I asked for their business cards and did not go through the admissions office.

It was hard, but I withdrew my application (I had a January interview). So hopefully someone here gets it! I love this city so much, but having been accepted to a few state schools, it just doesn't make sense for me to go, considering Tulane's high tuition. Good luck to everyone else applying!

Got my interview invite for 3/4. Complete 10/2 (though I submitted over a month before that). Anyone care to comment on the interviews? Typical interview stuff, ethical scenarios, etc?

Complete here early sept and still no word 🙁

Me too! I heard back this morning. I'll see you there?

I interviewed on Dec 3.

You get three interviews: two faculty interviews approximately 30-min each and one student interview over lunch.

My first one was with the medical genetics professor. She was really nice and it was very conversational. Very enjoyable 🙂

My second one was with a third year internal medicine resident. She was great, but talked a little fast, so it was hard for me to keep up.

The lunch one was the most chill. The food was great and my student interview and I bonded a lot 🙂 It was difficult trying to eat fried chicken and appear professional at the same time though.

It really just depends on your interviewer. I didn't get any hard questions, but one of the other interviewees I talked to had an interviewer who basically interrogated her and ONLY gave her ethical questions. I think the majority had very relaxed interviews, though.

u have an interview invite for march? on their website it says that they only interview thru FEB 😕

Also a 3/4 invite here. Will be declining due to other acceptances/cost of travel. Hope the spot goes to someone on here. Good luck all!

I asked all of my interviewers for their email addresses, and send thank you emails within a week of my interview. I have no idea if this helped, but I was accepted so I don't think it hurt. Maybe try looking them up on the web and see if you can find email addresses for them?

Perhaps they are extending interview dates into March to compensate for February NOLA conflicts with Superbowl followed by two weeks of Mardi Gras madness, they might lose February interviewees due to air travel & hotel costs.

Rejected today pre-interview. Good luck to everyone else still in the running!

Sorry to hear this. Looks like this is the last leg of the race. They are deciding who to invite to those last interview spots. I've been waiting since september 11, so I'm expecting a decision soon,

Same here. Been waiting for a while now. By the looks of it I feel a rejection coming my way.... Soon 🙁

Accepted!!! interview 12/3 also! good luck to everyone still waiting to hear.

Wow that's a fast turnaround!!

I interview tomorrow. I was super good this year. Maybe Santa'll get me an acceptance for Christmas?

hey guys if i'm interviewing mid-feb are my chances of getting in very low? seems like they sent out a lot of acceptances already...

There was a lot of waitlist movement last year. Even if you don't get in right after your interview, you've still got a good shot.

Does anyone know if there's a Facebook page for accepted students? I got the email about a twitter page but I don't have a twitter account...

Complete 11/13. Should I be thinking anything will happen here?

Any chance decisions will come out today or next week? I believe the students are on their winter break.
I don't think we will hear back from Tulane until after the new year. Good luck!
