Has anyone that applied for the MD/MPH dual degree program heard back from the school of public health?

just checked my email, accepted! interviewed 1/7

For those of you who have interviewed already, how did you go about getting a student host? I'm interviewing next Monday....thanks! Congrats to those accepted!

Interviewed here a week ago, stayed in New Orleans for the weekend which was the best idea ever. Pretty awesome place and both my interviewers said they were giving me strong recommendations so fingers crossed.

Not to be a downer... Interviewed 12/17 and thought I had 2 great interviews, both interviewers gave me some very positive feedback... Got wait listed last Tuesday night. I was pretty surprised, since my interviews went well and they said like 80% of interviewees get accepted.

It is closer to 90% but that is when everything is all said and done. I am fairly certain they get good movement off the wait list.

I just got accepted after being in the acceptance range for about two months, so it's not a bad place to be. Just keep expressing your interest and make sure to inform them of any updates you have. Good luck!

Anyone send update letters post interview? I'm having trouble finding on their website if they accept update letters, and if they do, where to send them.

Anyone who interviewed 1/11 hear back yet?

Accepted! Words cannot express how I feel. Happiest moment of my life.

This is what I want  Congrats! Can not wait til my interview next month... being scheduled since October has been pure agony.

Accepted! Interviewed on 1/11 pretty stoked. 4.0 37Q OOS.

Sorry to hear about that man, good luck though.

Interviewed here today and LOVED the school. Two of my interviews went well, but my second faculty interviewer was not great. Worried the one bad interview will kill my chances for acceptance, and I really want to go here.

Does Tulane ever flat out reject anybody after interviewing them? Or is pretty much everyone either accepted or waitlisted?

Has anyone who interviewed on 12/17 still not heard back or is it just me?

They said it was possible, but it has to be pretty unlikely given how many people they interview. Hopefully it didn't go that bad.

I also couldn't believe how much I liked Tulane. The atmosphere here is just so different from other places, and it was kind of shocking to see a bunch of med students who seemed happy instead of super stressed. LOL

That's exactly how I felt! I hope there are people who didn't like Tulane so they give up their acceptances--but it's hard to imagine anybody not liking it...😎

Interview invite today for March 18th. I'm so stoked! I thought I was out of time to hear back from this school but apparently my application was just at the bottom of the pile or something!

Anyone else interviewing this late in the cycle? Think I'll still have a good chance or are most of the spots gone by then?

It should be started by someone who is going to Tulane for sure. Having an admin who may go somewhere else seems kind of odd.

Tulane accepted more than 80% of their interviews last year, there will be spots open.

Here is some hope for all of those not yet accepted...even those that have been flat out rejected...

I got the "We regret to inform you that your application will receive no further consideration for the class to enter the Tulane University School of Medicine in 2013" email in early December. Two days ago I got the "Your application for admission to the Tulane University School of Medicine has been reviewed, and the Committee of Admissions has decided to invite you to visit Tulane for personal interviews" email.

So there it is. I did mention the rejection email when I responded to the invitation email, so we'll see how that plays.

Same thing happened to me a few months back. I called and asked, they said the rejection was a "mistake".

Wow!

I'm going to assume my rejection was not a mistake, I don't want to let this thought give me false hope. 🙂

Just accepted into Tulane as well. Could use information on housing, etc--so I think this needs to happen. Don't know any T1 or T2's though . . .
