Has anyone heard from Langberg/Jones at VCU since their interview?

I've heard of other profs in the child clinical program emailing students saying decisions will be made in next 2 weeks. Curious if Dr. Langberg or Dr. Jones have done the same thing.

Thanks! Congrats to everyone for being this far along in the process!

It's my understanding that Dr. Jones already extended an offer. I'm not sure about Langberg

I truly did not think I would get the opportunity to post on this thread but I'm thrilled to say that I just got an email accepting me from
yeshiva university, ferkauf phd (health emphasis)
Today, march 1 in an email!

YAYYYY!!

(just a note, I'm not the one from the grad cafe (obviously, since I asked for more info earlier))

when did you interview??

If the person who posted the UMass Boston wait list email could please pm me I would be eternally grateful. I have been waiting to hear from this last university before I know if I can take a job in Argentina, and I am supposed to leave on thursday if I do. PLEASE pm me.

Accepted to Portland State University, Applied Developmental Psychology program. Got the informal word from my adviser on 2/14/12, received official email letter a few days later.

Delayed post, but I've been accepted by CW post. Phone call 2/29.

I'm currently holding the Jones offer. Chances are very good I will accept or reject within the week (to keep things candid). As to Langberg, Jones and Langberg appear to be a team, and thus I would be surprised if Langberg hadn't extended. If I happen to found anything about about him for sure, I will post...

Has anyone heard anything about DePaul (Child Track)? I interviewed mid-Feb for Grant lab....

Thanks so much for the info !

Yay!!

Ugh I just called to decline my other offer. It's not like I think I'm so great that I've broken this person's heart or anything, but it's still a terribly awkward conversation to have. He also immediately asked where I had accepted. 🙁

Has anyone heard anything from Harvard's Clinical Science program (interviews, acceptances, rejections, waitlists... anything)? I feel like they are very much on the DL...

Is anyone else waiting to hear back from Rutgers? If so, can you PM me?

Has anybody heard back from the University of Alabama yet? I interviewed for the clinical health track on 2/10 ...

Forgot to post this a while ago:

I was accepted into the clinical phd program at University of North Carolina - Greensboro on 2/23 via phone call from POI. Email with the official offer was received a few days later.

Good luck guys!!

University of Tennessee has already given out offers.

Mind PMing me your POI? When and how did you hear? Do you know they have extended all offers? Thanks!

Has anyone heard anything from BU? I interviewed on 2/10 and I haven't heard back...

Accepted 3/5/12 from the University of Kansas Counseling PhD program via call from Dept Chair / Advisor.

I know it's hard not to (I still felt a twinge of it during the postdoc application process), but in reality, like a supervisor of mine recently told me, there's no reason to feel guilty or awkward for being a hotly-recruited applicant. Just remember that this isn't the first time they've had it happen, and if nothing else, it helps them realize that their "applicant acumen" is still on point, given that the people in whom they're interested are receiving multiple offers.

I would love to hear from anyone that got an acceptance offer from the University of Arkansas. PM me if you feel comfortable!

I contacted my POI at Miami University (Ohio) after I saw that some people had heard back about their clinical psych PhD program. I was told that I am an alternate and that alternates will be informed of their status as those who were extended offers first accept or decline. However, I was not informed of my alternate status until I asked. (Fingers crossed that I'll get an offer!)

Just wanted to put that out there in case anyone else, like me, was wondering about that!

Has anyone heard from USC's clinical science program post-interview? I saw one person on tgc but I haven't seen anything else. Thanks!

I know, it's totally common and has definitely happened before. I just keep thinking about how I expressed such strong interest (and I WAS interested), and how he told me he was very excited to make the offer to me...and then I'm all NOPE NO THANKS. 🙁

Has anyone accepted an offer from University of Texas at Austin for the counseling psych doctoral program?

You can PM me if you don't feel comfortable sharing in the thread.

Accepted to Yeshiva's Clinical PsyD Program on 3/5!
Email sent by the director of the clinical program

The only school I got an offer to keeps e-mailing me sort of pushing me to either accept or decline the offer (in a polite way), BUT

I haven't heard from 6 of the schools I applied to (I'm assuming I'm rejected) and I was wait listed for an interview at my top choice a month ago and have yet to hear from them again. They said they'd contact me before April 12 if they wanted an interview but I obviously don't want to make this other school wait that long to accept their offer.

Is it okay to contact the schools I haven't heard from and ask what my status is?
Is it okay to contact the one I was wait listed at and ask there?

Congratulations everyone! 🙂

What type of program is this?

University of Tennessee has already given out offers.

Did you receive an offer? If so, can you provide some more details so I can put it on the list? 🙂

It is perfectly okay to ask about status after a reasonable amount of waiting. In fact, it might be preferred because it lets them know that you are still interested.

I'm wondering if anyone has heard from Arizona State U post-interview? I know they were going to let people know late last week or early this week but I haven't heard anything yet and I haven't seen any activity online indicating that they have let people know yet... anyone else also waiting to hear back from them? Or has anyone heard from them already?

I don't really have an answer but I just wanted to say that this is literally identical to my situation right now, down to the waitlist with the notification before April 12th and the 6 unheard from schools. I had to check and make sure I hadn't posted this and somehow forgotten. I just thought it was really funny how someone is in exactly the same position.

Too funny! I think I'm going to call them all tomorrow. Let the annoying begin! :meanie:

Unless things have changed, Harvard extends offers over the phone (no in person interviews, at best a phone interview) and they have a visiting weekend for those accepted. My understanding is that there is no waitlist- professor told me that they only have a set number of offers they can extend and if they are not accepted they cannot make new offers. Rejections come out pretty late via snail mail as well. Based on my experience, any offers would have already been extended (they were by Feb two years ago). Their incoming cohorts are really small (~2) so its not surprising its hard to hear by word of mouth. Other programs like UIUC and I think Yale work like that (i.e., no in person interviews).
