Hi guys, has anyone heard from Manatee Glen Children's Home Consortium? Their interview notification deadline was today and I am starting to worry. :scared: I know it is a small site, but it's a potential internship!!!
 
mass email invite to Battle Creek Michigan VAMC ...sounds like interviews are individually scheduled.

I haven't either, and I haven't been taking it as a good sign since it has been so long since invitations were extended. Maybe there is still hope, though, since people keep giving examples of why we shouldn't count out a site just because we don't hear about an interview when others do! 😕

I was called for General or Psychology of Women...something. Sorry not to be more specific. Hard to keep track of everything.
 
Just got an interview invitation (personalized email) at the Southeast Louisiana VHCS (new orleans) 🙂

It was a non-personalized email offering 3 dates
.Friday January 6, 2012.
.Monday January 9, 2012.
.Friday January 13, 2012,

but also saying that a telephone interview would "be without prejudice"....I don't know if I believe them but I would really like not to have to pay for another trip and hotel room!

They haven't even started looking @ the apps yet, so don't worry 🙂🙂
 
Mass email invitations from Long Beach VA ".Our interviews will be conducted on the first three Wednesdays and the last Thursday in January during the morning hours (beginning at 8:30 am), with an opportunity to meet with our current class of interns for lunch at noon.".

and from VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System "

  • They don't do phone interviews

I have also recently discovered that a couple sites had later application deadlines posted on their websites than on the directory, and now I am starting to panic that I will not be considered at those sites, having missed the directory (but not the web site) deadlines. Does anyone know if the directory deadlines supersede all others?

I may also be in your boat! I have 3 rejections, 1 invitation, and 4 left... similar percentages... what follows makes me feel worse...

I felt pretty confident that I would get an interview from them and I have not heard so I am definitely getting queasy in the stomach...

Rejection from Penn State Counseling Center - they got 123 applicants, up 25 applications from last year.

Congrats!!!!! That's one I have been waiting on, so still going to keep my fingers crossed. What were the interview dates if you don't mind sharing?
 
Personalized email rejection from Wichita Collaborative Psychology Internship Program. Last name begins with F. I applied to the Kansas State University track.

With 24 applications, I'm at: 2 interviews, 4 rejections, 15 more to hear from in the next week and 3 more by January 15th :luck:

Does anyone else feel like screaming whenever they see a new email, but it's from APA Continuing Education, etc???

I heard from SAPIC today. Rejection letter, generic but at least they addressed my by name
 
Just received a mass email invite (i.e., "dear applicant") to the St. Louis VAMC 👍
 
Received a generic (Dear Applicant) rejection e-mail from the University of Chicago Child Psych/Ped Neuropsych track yesterday afternoon and one from Western Psych this morning.
 
Hey guys...keeping my fingers crossed for everyone during this stressful process :/ .. I was awoken by a phone call this morning from a number with the same area code of one site I'm waiting to hear back from and decided to let it go to voicemail as I had morning zombie voice. Turned out to be the cable provider I was associated with and I was THIS close to calling back and canceling my service due to the anxiety they caused me haha ugh!
 
Just received a "Dear Applicant" email invitation from the Central Texas VA. A number of days in January were offered across the 3 sites.

FYI: I got an email invite from Pace University Counseling Center on 11/27.

I also applied to Nassau University Medical Center and have not yet heard anything from them.
 
I see some rejections have gone out for the Center for Behavioral Medicine (in Kansas City). Has anyone received an invite yet?

I also applied there and have heard nothing. No invites for that site have gone out yet, to my knowledge! :xf:
 
Montefiore- child/adolescent track interview. Personalized email.

Has anyone heard from Miami Children's? Or Yale adolescent?
 
I feel like I am playing slot machines when I refresh my e-mail. Most of the time I get nothing, some of the time I get a useless e-mail - which excites me to refresh again and again because maybe next time I'll actually have an e-mail that is useful - and very rarely do I get an e-mail that is from a site (jackpot, regardless of the outcome). It gets addicting after a while, yet tiresome. My office at work has florescent lighting and no windows - all I need now is someone to bring me drinks and appetizers and I'll feel like I'm in Vegas 😀
 
Very disappointed that I didn't get any news today - I guess I'll be hearing from all 10 of my remaining sites next week! Somebody from my program told me that last year she received 1/3 of her interview notifications in the last week, including an interview invitation an hour before the deadline. So, I guess there's still hope!

Here's where things stand for me:

1 interview invite:

Pace UCC

3 rejections:

Kings County Hospital Center
Bellevue Hospital
McLean Hospital

1 site closure due to budget cuts!

Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx Psychiatric Center

(Notification of site closure only came after the deadline, and after I spent the time and money on the application. Has anybody else experienced this? This was near the top of my list, although it was a long shot).

10 remaining sites:

Stony Brook UCC
Harvard/Cambridge Hospital
American UCC
Cornerstone Behavioral Health
UNC Chapel Hill CC
Institute of Living
Nassau University Medical Center
Albany Consortium
Pennsylvania Hospital
WVU, Charleston College of Medicine

Given that WVU doesn't do interviews, and I've read on this thread that people have already heard from Nassau, Albany, and Pennsylvania Hospital, it looks like there are really only 6 remaining sites I could be hearing from next week. Does anyone have any word on any of these?

Congratulations on your interview, seems like such a great site 🙂 Also I have not heard from Yale adolescent track yet either. Next week I guess!
 
Don't get your hopes up... some sites may send emails in waves.
 
Generic email rejection from Texas A&M CC within last couple of hours. Ugh. Puts me at 1 interview, 4 rejections, 12 more to hear from. Reeeeeeally hoping there is some truth to the rumor of rejections coming before interviews. 😉
