Looks like there's a fairly sizable jump from 3-4 to 5-6 interviews, and again from 5-6 to 7-8 interviews. And if you happened to land 11 or more, you were almost guaranted to match (99%). I personally fell in the 7-8 clump.

Thanks, that is really helpful!!! I guess I was shooting too low at 4 interviews because I am just happy to have any! But now I am going for a higher goal since I have made my goal already and still have half of my sites to hear back from 😛

No problem. Even with 4 interviews, it looks like the match rate last year was still 69%, which is only slightly below the overall match rate. of ~75%.

I also wanted to mention re: my previous post that another reason for a disparity between number of ranks submitted and number of interviews received could be that many sites allow you to rank more than one track. Thus, it's quite possible for someone to receive 4-5 interviews but submit 7-8 ranks. In my case, one or two of the sites at which I interviewed allowed this, and thus my number of ranks submitted was slightly higher than number of interviews received.

Thanks for posting that link! That is super helpful. I was going based on my notoriously weak memory 😀, and I have been interested in finding some more detailed info on this issue. I will definitely be reviewing the info on that page.

Anytime. Also, note that there are three parts to the survey data; the linked page is part 2 (something like, "match statistics based on applicant program type"). I don't remember what parts 1 and 3 deal with, but I'm sure they're equally interesting.
 
Oh man, that is one anxiety-provoking link for me (but so interesting too!)

I only have one interview so far, although to be fair I'm waiting to hear back from most of the sites for which I am a good fit. Still though, I'll feel a lot better if I reach the 5 interview mark.

I woke up with a feeling of dread that I'm not going to get an internship this year but I think that might be just me being neurotic. Haha.

I hope we all get good news today!

Haha I feel the same way when I wake up in the morning. I dread looking at my email because of scared of receiving more rejections. Haha

For those of you who have heard from Eastern Virginia Medical School and received interviews, did anyone apply to the Adult Medical Inpatient or Integrated Care? Or did they just send a mass invite for pediatric behavioral medicine? Thanks!​

For those who received offers from the Manhattan VA or New Jersey VA for Interviews, what were the invitations like? Did it give a specific date, flexible dates, or request that you to contact them to set something up?

Hey everyone! I had a question and was wondering if anyone was facing similar problems....I just received an email from Lancaster General Health saying they received my application and will let everyone know on December 8 regarding interview status. They have only ONE interview day which is Jan 5, and I already have an interview booked. Has anyone switched around interview dates before? I fear switching before I find out I have an interview at Lancaster, however am afraid the later dates will fill up if I don't at Reading Hospital. Furthermore, I don't know how sites feel about switching dates. AH, coordinating is NOT fun lol. Opinions/thoughts??
 
Also, I heard from The Center for Multicultural Training yesterday, and I think invites are still rolling there...
 
I received a personalized e-mail invite for Massachusetts General Hospital (CBT Track) about an hour ago.

University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Health Sciences sent out personalized rejections this morning.

Just got a call to interivew at Mercy First on Dec. 22. I know this was posted a few weeks ago also, so they are still doing rolling interview invites.

Congratulations!! That is awesome! I am glad to hear they are still doing rolling invites!

When did you submit your application?
 
I had submitted it a few days before their deadline sometime in mid November. I don't remember exactly when. But it was after they had given out their first round of interview invites.

I just received an e-mail rejection from Arkansas Division of Behavioral Health Services addressed to "Dear internship applicant." It also says "However, if interview dates become available after the first of the year, we will continue to consider your application for the internship program unless notified you are no longer interested in being considered. You do not need to notify us for continued consideration since we are continuing to hold all applicant files."

Blah! So far I have received 1 interview and 1 rejection (although I am positive I will also get a rejection from Bellevue). I am hoping for some more good news soon! Most of my sites had late deadlines, so I have a feeling I will be waiting a while.

Just curious, has anyone heard from Ethan Allen/Lincoln Hills School in Irma, WI or from UMDNJ Piscataway (adolescent forensic track)?

I must have missed the announcement of a Mt. Washington invite. Who got that? Any word on interview dates?
 
Received my first rejection from this site today......ouch!

It seemed to be a mass e-mail and stated that they had finished with an initial review of all applications. So, if you haven't heard a rejection from them, you may have made it to the next round (whatever that might be). 🙁
 
Just received a mass email rejection from EVMS. It said they received 127 applications for 4 slots so the fact that I did not receive an interview was not necessarily a reflection of my qualifications. Sucks... was my first choice but I guess it wasn't meant to be. 1 and 1 for the two sites I have heard from so far...
 
Is anyone still waiting to hear from Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford?

I haven't heard anything whatsoever from Colorado, but my fingers are crossed right there with you. That seems like such an exciting one!:xf:
