Just received an email from New York Center for Child Development... they will not be offering an internship for the 2012-13 year.... Love how they decided this AFTER the application deadline. What a waste of money 🙁

APPIC should allow you to apply to another site (if you can find one at this late date). It may be helpful to do that so that your $$$ wont be wasted.

What a racket! APPIC should have a refund policy for applications that are never reviewed due to site error/withdrawal, has anyone ever approached APPIC about this or complained?
 
Rejections from the Central Arkansas VA and Long Island Jewish/Zucker Hillside this morning. I applied to the Neuro track at both.

I just got a mass email invitation to an open house at the mailman center in Miami. I had counted myself out of this one since someone had previously posted on here that offers had already gone out. This email seemed to indicate that this was the only offer that had gone out. Open house dates are the 5th, 10th, and 13th.

Right in the middle. It seems like the email was not track/rotation specific because it asked us to reply with what tracks/rotations we are interested in. Crossing my fingers for you!

I just received a personalized rejection via e-mail from Bellevue. I was expecting it, so it doesn't sting very much. In case anyone is wondering, I applied to the child/adolescent track.

I can't speak for that person, but I applied to Track I if it's of any help.

My last name is late in the alphabet.

I received an invitation the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, so they must have done rolling invites. Congrats!! See ya there!

Track 2. As I said earlier I am pretty sure track was not a consideration for sending out the email because the email asked us to report back to them what tracks we were interested in. Hope you hear good news from them!

Congrats to you! And thanks for the reply. Did you also get the email around 10a this morning?

I'm really happy to already have some interviews at great sites (e.g., Children's Memorial, Nationwide Children's), but I was really hoping to get a chance to interview at TCH, too. This one is gonna sting. 🙁 Still holding out hope...:xf::xf::xf:

That's strange. Below is a quote from the email I received today:

"As you'll read in the letter, I really apologize for not sending each of you an individually addressed letter -- you each deserve one, and each of you has an outstanding record! Because, as the letter also indicates, our Open Houses are "first come, first served," it is my practice then to send a letter to applicants at the same time, in the interest of fairness."

I had counted Mailman out too because it had been posted that their invitations went out. I guess it goes to show that we can't predict what they do, no matter how hard we are trying! 😀

Just received a mass email invitation to interview at the Institute of Living/Hartford Hospital--Child Track. They listed numerous interview dates for Fridays in December, January, and the first week of February.
 
Got a phone call from the Denver VA inviting me to interview on either January 9th or 23rd!
 
Rejection from Jewish Child and Family Services via generic email. 2 rejections, 1 more probable rejection, 0 interviews, and 9 more to go...
 
Rejection by email from University of Wisconsin Madison -- Health Psychology Track 12/05 and rejection by email from Salt Lake City VA 12/02

Even if you don't hear back, don't sweat it. I received interview offers at a number of places I really like and that have great reputations, but received a rejection from one site that I was sure wouldn't be so picky. Damn Children's National ;-)

If you're getting the invites you mentioned, you'll end up at a great place for training and it won't matter in the end I bet.
 
Phone call this evening from Yale for an interview with their Young Adult Service track. 🙂 The message said that they were scheduling interviews in January and hoped to have all their interviews scheduled by the end of the day tomorrow--so if you applied to this track at Yale, I would think you could expect to hear about interviews this evening or tomorrow.

Yeah, I went a little crazy with the applications. Rejections from Pitt VA and Arkansas Behavioral Health (Ark State Hosp) and one invite from Pine Grove Treatment center. Not looking forward to the craziness on the 15th🙁
