Question about the 3rd and 4th year rotations: I noticed that among the core clerkships, there seems to be more time spent in primary care fields (i.e. 11 weeks internal medicine, 7 weeks pediatrics and 4 weeks family medicine, along with three months of sub internships in primary care fields) than other schools. Do you think this is reflective of any particular school philosophy regarding specializing vs. primary care? And also, do you think this has any impact on someone like myself, who wants to have the best opportunity to match into any specialty I want to, including non primary care fields? If any other current student could comment, that would be great. Thanks! 🙂
