Rejection from Dallas ISD. 🙁 Subject line was "Dallas Independent School District Interview", so the let down was vast.

Thanks...this is the second site this happened to in my pile...I was not happy the first time. I sent an email to APPIC and they won't refund $$. They said the system they use basically says the monetary transaction doesn't exist after it goes through...what? Makes no sense. They offered to allow me a "free" application if I wanted. Disappointed in APPIC we pay a crap ton of money and they won't refund the money that could help me to get my other interviews....thanks....
Waiting for rejections from MUSC, and SUNY Upstate (I'm such a sad person these days!) and WVU Charleston but I have no idea if WVU sends out rejections - such a mystery process!

Email the TD at WVU Charleston to ask if you are still under consideration. They do not do interviews (they have optional open houses that have no influence on your chances-- and are likely full by now). If you are still interested in the site, and they say you are still under consideration, the TD will likely give you the names of a couple faculty/interns to contact based on your interests. I'm pretty sure they don't contact people out of the blue-- you have to contact them if you want to know the status of your application.

I am happy with my five interviews, but read a disturbing statistic that the average number of interviews for matched applicants was 9 and the average number of interviews for unmatched applicants was four. This seems odd to me since most people match to one of their top three ranked sites.

I vote that ANYTIME someone on this thread quotes a statistic, they cite the source/post a link to it.

I have had the exact same turn out (i.e. Same sites and same responses) today!! And I am also waiting on 3 more...we seem to have a lot in common 😉
This whole process is crazy disheartening! It's my second year applying and I thought I might do better this time. I keep telling myself it only takes one. Hang in there!

I only heard from one site today. My Sunday is going to SUCK.

Ohio State UCC generic email invite. Follow up email to contain dates for Jan phone interviews.
It looked like a mass email since it said, "Dear Applicant"
Whoops, forgot about WVU Charlestown. I imagine they do but their notification date isn't until January 1. (So psychologically, not counting them!)
Still no invite or rejection from Lovell VA or Memphis VA.... 🙁

Do you mean Springfield Hospital Center in Sykesville, MD? There is a Spring Grove Hospital Center in Catonsville, MD. Everybody confuses the two hospitals, even people that live here. I am still waiting on Springfield Hospital Center (in Sykesville), but Spring Grove Hospital Center (in Catonsville) sent out their notifications awhile ago (mid November).

I have not heard from Springfield.
I received an invite to the Buffalo VA Western New York Healthcare System gero track late this afternoon. (That was the only track I applied to at that site.) No dates available so far, but they will be in touch next week.
